Su-9 is post war. Meaning it has no right to be in a WW2 game.
But it’s a fake forged in 2017 by a Reddit user. It has no right to be in a WW2 game either.
Ew no thanks.
I’m absolutely positive the game would have been so much better without all the nonsense listed in the first few posts of this thread.
Because of thoughts like yours, the game died before merging.
The developers have already made a commitment to never have that idea again.
And it’s never healthy for the game either.
This is a matter you have to give up.
The game has already tried it in the past, and the developers have recognized that it is a big problem, and it will no longer be the base.
It should only be enjoyed at events or custom.
That is the intent of the current developers.
You truly believe the lack of Chinese boys at Normandy, reindeer decals and fake prototype from 2017 killed the game?
But thanks to them it rose from the dead?

What I’m talking about is balance.
Don’t change the argument to something else.
And I’m well aware of this issue.
That’s how much developers know that if it’s not this, there’s really no answer, and I know that.
I hate Ho-Ri too, but is there a way to take this out? No.
That’s why Ho-Ri is a necessary evil.
If there’s really no other way, it’s the last choice, but that’s why Ho-Ri and Su-9 came out.
They’re the only way to do it.
I never said balance is not important.
It’s unnecessary.
The devs should have been smart enough to sit down for a moment and think “Can Japan realistically have something comparable to Tiger 2 and STG?”.
Since the answer is obviously “No”, they just had to keep Japan BR3 max.
Similarly, would the game have survived without jets? Yes.
Does the fact that USSR never had a jet mean they should get a fake one? No.
The logic is simple:
- If we introduce item A, will any of items B, C, D have to be fake?
- If yes => don’t introduce item A
If that happens, it will lead to content depletion and fun.
Do you think that would be good?
I don’t think so.
It’s not fun.
Live service games have to keep content coming out, and they have to be fun as long as they are games.
If fix BR3 to the max, limiting the content, and it won’t be fun either.
A live service game with no change is a dead game.
Of course, there are people who miss the nostalgia of the past in the live service.
In that case, can add classic content as an event and custom.
This is probably how developers are thinking.
But from my experience in various games, everyone realized how terrible classic was. wwww (ex. WoW, and some live service games)
But at the end of the day, you have to think that this is a live service game, not a package game.
It should be a temporary measure, and it should never be maintained. (Limit BR)
“Live service game” =/= must have Chinese boys in Stalingrad at any cost
The Hyde 44 and T-20 were built and tested in 1944, so technically they weren’t paper.
Prototypes, yes, paper, no.
