DESCRIPTION
TKB-270 is an experimental self-loading carbine designed by S. A. Korovin during the Great Patriotic War. It was intended as a light carbine-type weapon (a pistol-carbine) for short and medium ranges; it used a simple blowback action and a hammer-fired trigger mechanism. The TKB-270 remained a prototype: it underwent testing but never entered mass production. It was characterized by its compact layout, small magazine capacity, and an emphasis on simplicity of construction — a typical example of wartime experimental designs.
