The Thompson 1927 is the semi auto version of the 1921 AC, the feeding system is still the same, so you can use both box magazine(20 or 30) and drum magazine (50 or 100).
In my opinion, a Thompson 1927 with 30 round magazine is a good option for BR3 TT weapons.
Despite the damage would be lower compared to the German VG1-5, smaller caliber would be a advantage for recoil control.
I guess some people will ask ‘’ Why don’t just add Thompson 1921AC(30) for BR3?‘’ Because the 1921AC’s ROF is faster than the M21/28(BR4)and the M1 Thompson(BR4), it’s definitely not a BR3 SMG.

Should this weapon also available for Assaulter just as VG1-5?
Isn’t this gun still uses .45 ACP? Which means that this gun will still have much lower muzzle velocity compared to VG 1-5. I think it would be better just adds M1 Carbine with 30 rnds magazine on BR 3 instead.
Then i don’ think we need this gun on BR 3 as the USA equivalent of VG 1-5. Maybe adds this weapon with 20 rnds magazine version as BR 2 weapon with the same soldier class restriction as VG 1-5 would be more fitting.
I like you’re suggestion it would be great to have something like this in the TT and or the M-1 carbs (30) or an M-3 carbs. Would definitely be fun to equip engineers with this, kind of like the semi auto Beretta in game.
I think most people will prefer the M1 Carbine(30) for Br3, but a semi auto Thompson has a good potential, adding a 1927 with 50 or 100 drum magazine would be also an interesting option for BR4.I will write another topic about this.
As a US main I can say that a 1927 (30) would be great for BR 3 but the 1927 (50) or (100) at BR 4 might not be as fun because a semi only weapons at that BR are kinda meh with the exception of full power rifles PCC’s aren’t too powerful and a 100 drum with a big ammo pouch is asking for RSI (repetitive strain injury). A Br 4 version would still be fun But BR 3 sounds better to me.
