FOR THE RECORD, this gun should only be added to Japan once the Lewis gets added to the Allied tech tree. There is already an existing topic about that though (Lewis Mk I* - A Lewis Gun for the Tech Tree), so do please support that topic if you are interested.

The Type 92 machine gun was used by Japan early in the war as the primary defensive weapon for many IJN aircraft. This gun was essentially a copy of the British Lewis machine gun that started production in 1932 and was chambered in a Japanese version of the .303 British, with two main visual differences from the British gear. The first is the much more pronounced trigger guard intended to make it easier to use while wearing thick flight gloves. The second was the the barrel shrouds were often removed as they were deemed unnecessary when there was adequate airflow to cool the gun. It was determined, however, to be inadequate in this role, and was phased out in favor of more viable guns for this role. This was not the end for this gun though, as many were repurposed and saw infantry use with the SNLF (Naval infantry units in the IJN). These though, usually did have the barrel shrouds installed, which left the main visual difference to be the trigger guard. By adding this gun to the Japanese tech tree, it will allow Japan to have a high capacity LMG similar to other nations’ on BR3, since the current LMGs only have 30 rounds in comparison.
