The Sten Mk V would deal 6.6, due to lower velocity (just like the other Stens in game). As a bonus though, it would be more controlable.
It would not be powercreep in BR III, at all.
Edit: I should also add that dispersion would be worse than the SIG too, and overall poorer than other SMGs of its BR (some to a greater or lesser degree).
Once again… you think having one extra bullet to kill is an issue… i dont… same concept applies here.
Although i guess really in the long run it will make a difference in gunfights… however i think the 50 rds and 700~ fire rate well outweighs that.
I don’t really pay attention to how many bullets i’m taking to kill someone unless i’m shooting well out of it’s effective range… but i cannot deny that a second bullet to kill especially in cqc is definitely of note.
There arent too many submachine guns with similar stats so the comparison can be a bit difficult, but overall the Sten mk.V (50) would be about as strong as the SIG 1920.
Sten mk.V would have faster reload, lower recoil, be better at hipfiring. This comes at the cost of being less accurate, having slightly less damage and less muzzle velocity.
well, he has the right to have a wrong opinion.
Okay Im joking, but I agree that production numbers and availability should be related whenever possible.
Great job with the post! I hope we see these weapons added to the game.
I would genuinely be surprised if the Sten Mk.V with 50 rounds at BR 3 would only have 6.6 damage. Since damage is a balance stat, it’s likely that if this suggestion was forwarded, they would increase the damage to 6.8 on release.
It would also be cool if they had the bayonet available!
Yes, its true that developers play with damage to balance things but as far as I know, the Sten family has lower damage because they have lower initial muzzle velocity than normal 9mm guns (370 m/s intead of 400 m/s).
But devs will have final say on the matter anyway.
The credit goes to @OggeKing as he had set the bar quite high on quality.
I just kept reworking my part on his advice and I accidentally stalled the project for which he might or might not send my ass to Australia.
