The Stalingrad all access pack was the best thing Darkflow did

The Stalingrad all access pack was the best thing Darkflow did. That’s a controversial statement in these parts so allow me to elaborate:

Some people who play this game, myself included, don’t enjoy playing for the sake of grinding out new weapon and gear. Instead, we enjoy playing the game for the fun of the game, and would be happy to pay a reasonable price to just go ahead and unlock everything to play with sooner.

The Stalingrad pack gave us just this opportunity: with a massive XP boost, more squad slots, soldiers and weapons already upgraded to their penultimate level, and a dramatic price reduction in the ultimate upgrades.

The only downside, the part that sent the f2p players into a frenzy that ruined it for everyone; it also introduced campaign levels that were exclusive to those that purchased the pack. I disagreed with that decision then as I do now. I was more than happy to pay for all the other features without anything exclusive beyond the premium flame tanks.

With the new changes upcoming, I would like to suggest and implore that darkflow give us an ‘Enlisted All Access Pass’ that gives us all the good parts of the Stalingrad pass, but without any locked levels. Everything should be available to grind for people who won’t or can’t pay for the pass, but for those of us with the disposable income to pay for a video game; we can bypass much of the grind and get to the real enjoyment of playing the game.

Thank you, and good night.

Indeed. Actually (and this is personal) I’ve been giving a damn about the events and free squads, because I’m not playing as if this was a casino where you need to achieve some goals to actually feel good. I just play to have fun and relax, not grinding for some stuff that is already in other campaigns.

I’d like to see that, buying all the options at once and not worrying about premium or anything anymore.

I remember that you were always a supporter of the all access format darkflow was experimenting with. I’d like to humbly request that you pass this suggestion up the chain and see if there’s any interest from the powers that be.

I disagree. I’ve always felt Premiums were a better monetization. Having the campaign content as a whole free to unlock incentives players to play the campaign just like all the others. Yes you would say but the people who bought the pack would play but then we come into the population issue. Not every player is going to shell out the money for the pack and thus wouldn’t bother playing the campaign making the Stalingrad population dwindle

Besides campaigns in general appear to be ending anyway. Regardless I don’t think this sort of thing should return

If anything the Pacific pack is a good example of DLC because you get 4 Premium squads.

Also I never liked how either of those packs automatically leveled up all of our Squads right at the get go. I like progressing ourselves

Ping an helper  or kindly wait :stuck_out_tongue: they will come here eventually! they are amazing in forwarding ideas and suggestions to developers.!

I like more to hunt bugs

Since there aren’t going to be any distinct campaigns anymore, my suggestion is to have an all-encompassing Enlisted pass that gives you all the bonuses seen in the Stalingrad pass, less the locked campaign levels. This pass wouldn’t be limited to any specific faction or campaign, but rather it would be for the entire game.

If you prefer the current progression you are free not to buy the pass. If you would rather just play the game for the fun of it, without the frustration of the grind: you can buy the pass. It’s pay to play

Full access could be so generous with the exp as it was just for a single campain and you would reach its end some time later anyway. But if you would apply that to all campains it would be busted or if you upscale the price to acount for each campain 30 bucks x 6 you would end up with 180 bucks and everyone would surely love to pay the price for 3 older AAA games in a single microtransation.
This is a lot of money even for someone living in ideal conditions without busted local pricing.
Sadly there is now real way for DF to adjust the Full Access model on the large scale without gutting their premium benefits as exp would just be abundent everywhere.

For all the crying and hate about stalingrad, they really missed out

Especially what we get to keep once its merged.

People really are clueless

Viva la stalingrad!!!

What are you, darkflows accountant? The campaigns are going to be merged and the whole construct of the game leveling mechanic will be changed so it’s not just X times the number of current campaigns

They add levels from all 6 campains into 1 thing so of course it will be more potent to have a boost in exp or however they call it post merge for everything opposed to just in 1 campain.
Just because the linear campains are removed doesnt mean the exp will be gone (soft confirmed on one of the dummy screenshots) … and the most impacful thing of the full access was the 4x exp.

The number of overlapping campaign unlocks will be collapsed, and a few items are being removed entirely; so it’s dramatically fewer total levels that will be unlocked in total. Most of the rest of the new system is still up in the air, at least for us.

Of course there will be more encompassed in an Enlisted pass than the Stalingrad pack, I’d understand paying more because of that. I’ll be happy to leave it up to darkflow to figure out the details of pricing.

Even if they were to go as far as removing most of the micro transactions like they did in Stalingrad, they can continue to make regular money on the battle pass and premium subscriptions on top of the enlisted pass. They could keep the micro transactions for cosmetics and other things not directly related to gameplay too.

Darkflows initial intentions with this game were to sell it like a normal game, it was the players at the time that voted to change it to free to play. I think a pass would make for an excellent hybrid and Stalingrad is a good example of how that could work. Less the locked campaign levels of course, one less thing to add to the price.

It was the worst move of all. Totally ruined the core fundamentals of game, which is progression to get better and new shiny toys.
The incentive of playing the game is to be rewarded.
The how and what of that could be in other way.
I’d rather see a more of get all basic stuff from beginning and progress to better newer versions, and rewards more in style of cosmetics like uniforms, decorators, titles, kill marks, alternative weapons, special rare ones etc. but the fundamental part have to be there, the progress, play to get rewards, otherwise games get boring, stale repetitive and no drive to strive after and feel of accomplishment, so can satisfy the need to distinguish oneself.
Paying to bypass removes the exclusivity and the worth of progress and their rewards.
In other words, completely disagree with you

$talingrad bundle is a great deal in the least developed campaign

It achieve the point of the bundle, make people pay for the shitty grind, 400% exp is very generous to have, considering the amount you can get from average match as F2P

There is extra stuffs:

-+3 slot per side
-2 flame tanks
-90% discount on upgrade
-almost maxed stat for soldiers and gear thus even cheaper upgrade

The worst thing they did aside from promoting P2W/P2G, is:

-Half of the campaign unlock is locked(now unavailable for new players)
-Promise Merge update long time ago, remove the bundle and no more people can buy it(I don’t know what kind of marketing genius they are but this move is bad)
-Remove gears for the future(why MP717r?)

Look, I don’t support greedy Devs, and every digital pixels they made for 50 freedom buck is outrageous, $talingrad is a meh campaign, the maps are half baked and lack of variety, left to dead, most of my time playing it, I met the same people playing it, in the same map and same mode, Tractor Factory Destruction mode, yes I have a meme to prove that…

Strongly disagree. For me the point of the game is to have fun playing the game. Not everyone plays for the dopamine rush of unlocking the next thing. In fact, that’s an unsustainable model, since they have to keep adding more and more obscure and anachronistic weapons and gear just to fill levels.

I’d rather they focused on more and better maps and game modes to keep things fresh and interesting.

Anyway, the solution for you is to not buy the pass. Then you can grind to your heart’s content.

I stopped reading when I saw the dollar sign, but I’m sure your point is that it’s a terrible thing for developers to charge for their product. Lucky for you, with my model you wouldn’t have to pay a dime, since they would keep everything available for the free to play grind.

From my perspective as f2p, full acces pack was kind of shit.
Stalingrad is a very fun campaign to play but the fact that every second level is not avalabe and I have to grind it anyway caused me to basically leave. It’s not fun to have 8 (4x booster and every 2nd item locked) times more grind for half of rewards.

Which you can’t even upgrade until after more grind.

Who cant forget when they advertised it with being forever and give people “six” guns in return where only the M93 and the Panzer IV G were really unique to SG owners.

Of couse the “FAP” was the best choice :smirk: .
