I think it would be interesting if every faction had a Type Hei Automatic equivalent at BR 5. Lower damage compared to the 15.3 damage counterparts, but much more controlability.
The AKT-40 already exists in-game as a 10 round automatic rifle in a BR 4 premium squad, but it would be compatible with any SVT/AVT magazine, including the 20 round one on the AVT-40 20. This weapon, fitted with a 20 round magazine, could fill a similar role ot the Type Hei Automatic/Fedorov Avtomat, but with 20 rounds and compatible on Riflemen.
Stats:
Damage: 13.9
RoF: 660
Magazine Capacity: 20
Recoil & Dispersion: Good
Reload Speed: Average
Would you like to see the AKT-40 20 added to the game?
- Tech Tree
- Event/Battle Pass
- Premium

No, thanks. I really hate this trend where they just copypaste weapon and change the magazine capacity. And then they pass it off as something new.
Just to ruin the uniqueness of something people paid for. Leave the AKT alone.

BR 5 is already so chaotic and this wouldn’t help.

If I remember correctly, avt is the only close extension to this weapon, akt was a either event or premium if I recall correctly.
Russia already has the most BR5 select fires, throwing another one into the pile would likely just ruin the chances of it being used as a better addition in the future.
the weapon is welcome, but I feel like that 4 SF rifles are already plenty for Soviet tech tree and shouldnt be bloated more.
Type Hei still one hit downs - except against Soviet armor.
I dont think we should open Pandoras box with this inconsistency with guns that kinda one hit down but actually dont really.
I’ll respond to this first wave of criticisms:
-
AKT-40 20 wouldn’t infringe on the AKT-40 because they are different battle ratings. The goal is to give the Soviets (as well as other nations) something like the Type Hei Automatic, and this was the best option I could think of.
-
BR 5 is chaotic, that’s what makes it appealing to some people. Providing more unique and interesting weapon choices amongst riflemen “doesn’t help”?
-
Soviets have the most select-fires currently, but this suggestion doesn’t exist in a vacuum, and it doesn’t mean I’m saying other things shouldn’t be prioritized first. As I mentioned in my first sentence, I am interested in seeing a Type Hei Automatic equivalent for every tree because it provides more gameplay options for Riflemen at BR 5.

The reason why Soviet SFs feel bloated is because there are essentially two pairs, with the only difference being larger, less common magazines. I don’t think it’s a good excuse to avoid offering more options at the end of the tech tree, regardless of the faction. If it was a mid-tier weapon suggestion that makes the grind to BR 5 itself longer, I would understand the frustration.

How is offering more one-tap at close range automatic weapons “opening Pandora’s Box”? The Type Hei Automatic, Fedorov Avtomat and Scotti Naval already exist. They would also provide a weapon that has more flexibility at close range, but like you said, is more inconsistent with kills (especially if we consider limb damage multipliers).
Now to put it simply, the Soviet faction has finally gotten magazine-fed versions of the AVS and AVT with 20-round mags in recent updates. These two weapons are already more than good enough. Releasing a BR 4 full-auto 10-round rifle that only dominated back then thanks to the old meta, now with an added 10-round magazine, just feels completely redundant in the current game environment.
It’d make more sense to give weapons of this type to the Japanese faction instead. But for the Soviets? It’s totally overkill and unnecessary.
Maybe we can guess if Enlisted’s Victory Day event will add some Axis vehicles from the High Armor Chronicles universe.
There’s just one problem: the AKT 40 in game doesn’t exactly have good recoil (the horizontal recoil is even worse than the FG 42 1), and there hasn’t been any case in game where the developers gave a gun better recoil over an otherwise identical or similar variant.
The only counter example would be the FG 42 grenade launcher with the pre-nerf FG 42 1 recoil preserved , and the FG 42 1 with it’s atrocious recoil values. But the event gun kept its recoil values probably out of developer preservation.

AVS-36-20 alredy gives nigthmares to everyone

I wouldn’t mind the AVS per se if only the other guns can fight back XD, but alas, there are a few things which make it not so. Why give the highest alpha damage to a gun, equipped by the only nation which possesses a cosmetic which can reduce the damage of guns? Ridiculous.

Because they won the war! And “balance is unfair” (ironically)

There are more important things to add to the game than another BR5 rifle for the USSR
Meanwhile Japan only got the Hei, a smg that should really be br4, and no usable assault rifle yet (would have been fine br5 with 30 rounds, but eh…)

Japan doesn’t have any sniper weapons above BR2. Even though the Type Hei Auto appears to have a scope mount

Forgot about that one.
…
So yes, I voted no… not JUST because Soviets already got the most SF rifles in br5, but also because;
Why would Soviets “need” their own “type Hei”?
Can’t Japan have at least ONE good thing unique to them?
Besides, most Soviets things are already recoil less when most should kick a lot.
Anyway, that’s meh, for me.

I don’t really understand how this thing with a shorter barrel is supposed to become more controllable. I always thought it worked the other way around.
