The quick in-game voice lines in Enlisted should be expanded

  • Yes, I think we need more quick commands.
  • No, we already have enough.

The player base of this game is very diverse, and the match pace is extremely fast. There is simply no time to type messages slowly in battle. Therefore, a complete set of quick text and voice commands is essential so that all teammates can understand at a glance.

Currently, the only truly useful quick voice line in the game is the option to request building a spawn point. In actual combat, we still need many more frequently used quick commands:

  1. Enemy tank inbound!
  2. Take out that enemy armored strongpoint!
  3. Air raid incoming! Man anti-air defenses!
  4. Enemy anti-air gun spotted!
  5. Sniper nearby!
  6. Enemy heavy machine gun position!
  7. Partisans are flanking our rear!
  8. Our left/right flank is under attack! Fall back and defend!
  9. Medic needed!
  10. Watch out for enemy mortar fire!
  11. Beware of enemy artillery!
  12. Request artillery support!
  13. Enemy forces spotted!
  14. Watch out for flamethrower troops!
15.Enemy air raid incoming, man anti-air defenses immediately!

Compared with War Thunder, its quick report and marker voice lines are divided into six major categories, with at least three options in each category — far more abundant and practical than those in Enlisted.

Currently in the game, barbed wire, anti-tank hedgehogs and sandbags can be marked with red dots and special icons occasionally. Special icons also exist for spies, spawn points, tanks, APCs and heavy machine guns.

As for further suggestions: besides placing a yellow marker by right-clicking on the map, I propose adding a double-click map function to designate a bombardment target location. This would allow radiomen to lock onto the position and call in artillery strikes.

Enlisted’s quick voice system is in urgent need of expansion and optimization.

For example, if you spot a large enemy force approaching the left flank, there is no corresponding quick voice line to inform your teammates. You can only mark a simple red dot with the V key and hope teammates notice it. Moreover, Enlisted lacks the War Thunder feature: double-clicking the map to place a flashing red warning marker.

Overall, Enlisted’s battlefield information transmission system is severely outdated. Players lack efficient ways to quickly report enemy positions and relay battlefield info. Poor communication leaves the team vulnerable to being overrun, just like Soviet forces caught off guard by a blitzkrieg.

Therefore, Enlisted must promptly improve and expand its quick command and voice system.

Sometimes the enemy artillery marker on the map looks exactly the same as our own artillery strike marker. By the time I realize it, I urgently want to warn teammates not to move into that area—it’s enemy bombardment, we’ll all get blown up and hand the enemy fifty free respawns. But there’s no quick way to tell everyone, and I can only watch helplessly as teammates get wiped out.

Right now I’ve only worked out the first step, but I don’t know how to put all these ideas together. I’ve come up with so many points, and I feel every single one of them is really useful.

If you have time, you can drop by my poll page again. There are two more polls about German tanks down below. From the discussions on the battle rating of the ISU series, to those about the German Panzer IV series, as well as Japanese tanks

Doesn’t anyone have any quick phrases they want to add?

the only one i need is Air from war thunder that gives rough bearing

Do you still have the ability to head over to the Russian forum? I still can’t sleep thinking about that 70% voting rate.

Theoretically yes, practically no (which is why I haven’t vote).
However, +80% of people ignore the chat anyway. They don’t built a Rally Points (despite commands), and marking no enemies (despite commands).

More commands would simply overwhelm the cognitive capabilities of most players even further.

Partially agree and partially disagree. It’s the bystander effect. “Surely someone else will build a rally, I personally am very awesome at kill enemy, so i will do that.” Or “why mark tank? I will just kill it” (immediately squad-wiped without marking).

But “a sniper is camping the southwest spawn point” is not a call to action, it’s a warning that even the most boneheaded player will probably heed. The main problem isn’t that people wouldn’t listen to these call-outs, it’s that most wouldn’t bother making them.

For me, a VERY simple interim solution would be to enable chat on the spawn screen. The amount of times I’ve wanted to alert my team to some threat or other, while i have 10 seconds of just sitting waiting…

So we really need everyone to brainstorm together. What I gave was just a tiny example, we still need everyone to pick out what’s most needed.

For me having multiple map pin types, and also hold v to open a ping menu, not just tap to mark. And the map should be accessible between spawns to place special markers. Things like “suspected enemy spawn zone” for people to drop Arty and Morty on. At least if not via the map, then make binoculars more useful by allowing them to ping specifics, like if you v through binoculars it will actually show up on the map as individual soldier markers for 1-2 seconds, so you can “spot” a concentration of enemies. I dunno, I’m just riffing. Hockey is about to start.

Thought of another thing. I’ve often been flying planes (usually poorly, but I try) and thinking it would be helpful to have a private chat between airmen. If I’m on a fighter and a teammate is in an attacker, it could definitely be useful to have the option to chat between us without flooding the general team chat. Just spawned: ‘enemy planes?’ or “fighter on your six,” etc. it’s a different game from the skies, would be nice to comms between planes without annoying the ground troops. And you’ve got extra time often, too, since you can move forward without pressing a button.

We need some Australian one’s.
