The Problems with New Campaigns

I’ve been reading over many of the posts about the alleged new campaign and thought making a compilation of the most common concerns may clarify some things or at least open some eyes to possible issues.

PLAYER BASE SPLIT:
Probably the biggest concern for most people by far. Slicing a pie of players yet again is never a good idea especially when many will gravitate towards the best/most powerful faction. We’ve seen this already in Tunisia.

REPETITIVE GEAR:
Yes, it is unavoidable for some factions regardless what campaign is chosen however bringing the same factions back again and again can feel very stale for many of us. Adding the French or Japanese would atleast bring a fresh faction but they may also cause more landslide wins for the new faction.

RESOURCES:
Some people have everything they want in game so they can easily spend bronze/silvers in a new one however many new players do not. Just like slicing the pie of players we are also splitting their resources essentially locking them into perhaps one or two campaigns based off the income of orders alone.

UNFINISHED CAMPAIGNS:
As it currently stands we do not have even a single completed campaign yet we are spending time and energy to make a new one. Why don’t we finish and polish the current ones before we go off and start again somewhere?

DRIP FEEDING LEVELS:
To go along with my previous statement is being fed 3-5 levels at a time. You can almost feel the developers stretching these campaigns out by slowly adding only a couple of levels with such interesting weapons as rifle grenades or more fighter planes.

These are a few of the things I’ve noticed the most. Perhaps there are more but I hope to hear counters to each as its a good debate for the game to have!

I think the devs are aware of everything you mentioned!

The player base split… Imho the game will attract more players if there are various campaigns with different settings (vegetation, city, desert, jungle) and also new forces like the japanese.

And to me the campaigns don’t feel unfinished. I’m not sure where the devs want to go finally & what their goal is campaign wise but since there is no story…

Beside your concerns i share mostly as well i think it’s a bit fishy while having a lot of things in a bad state that should be addressed first. Ofc, they deliver a lot of patches which im really happy about but as we’ve seen on Berlin they asked 50€ for CBT their new campaign? Please.

Yes I’d like other stuff corrected before we start another campaign.

Its true that we really dont know what “finished” is. We have heard level 40 but who really knows

They need to add a: chose any campaign button where you get ++% XP

Also this i asked after Fiery November results

This would solve many issues I believe. I would personally click this button every time

Regarding the resources:

Since the introduction of the new system of gaining silver every xx thousand xp points you shouldn’t lack anything if you play on a regular base.

I have lots of silver, bronze orders. And after outfitting a new squad I earn the orders again kind of quick. The grind doesn’t feel too bad to me.

I think Keo had it in his feedback file

As a new player you will have 5 campaigns and 10 factions. Thats a large split of those orders. Take into account free to play (they make up many players)

After all these more or less “bot-game” posts i assumed far less than that. If we take into account that we play 10v10 in 4 campaigns, there should never be any bot, even if im still not so sure if there’re truly bot games.

There really aren’t that many bot games, it’s just shit players. You will see bots however because it is almost inevitable that at least 1 person will leave a game (and it’s often 3 or 4 players by a game’s end).

So all players that leave get replaced by bots? As i never experienced that i get thrown into a middle of a round i assume so.

They don’t have an immediate way for us to tell who is or isnt a bot which has always made me a little suspicious of the true numbers.

He mean like campaign lvl wise, we have lvl 30 now which issnt max lvl yet

Even then… I started playing only 2 months ago so I’m not one of the veteran players here that have everything maxed and hundreds of spare orders.

I do love the game and thats why I supported gaijin with a premium subscription. If I hadn’t I would still have made a lot of bronze and silver orders.

By the way: it’s not a shame if your squad isn’t fully equipped with mines, all kinds of grenades and backpacks and the likes.

I felt geared pretty well with a solid bolt action rifle and 1 grenade at the beginning. I love aiming down sights and I killed a lot of other players even in infights with smg guys.

One hit upper chest - bang thats it. Kiss my cheeks and give me the xp

Thanks you!

these two things have already become so repeated that it is already tiring, I would have preferred the Japanese or even the French a new air, not Germans against Russians for the third time

a lot of you are complaining about stalingrad campaign and such but you will be the same that will grind it until the end, buy every single premium squad and premium time for it. you are like its not what we wanted but if they give us hungarian guns maybe i will get on my knees and just do my head game.

I don’t believe their numbers at all. We have no 3rd party source to determine the player count because they refuse to put this game on steam (the dumbest business decision I have seen in a while). The claimed over 500K people participated in operation firey Novemember which was only a month long. IF those numbers are not just logins as a total which I suspect they are then Enlisted is trying to tell me that it has the same numbers as Apex Legends does…something I highly doubt. Transparency has not been something I have been impressed with. Keofox’s post on reddit was the first step I saw to a shift in this, which was quickly taken down soon after posting. Bi-weekly updates are not roadmaps. I appreciate them, but even as a CC I find myself completely in the dark at the direction of this game sometimes having to read between the lines and piece things together.

I don’t care the number of player in the beta. I’m confident in the futur.

Marketing campaign + release + steam available is the thing to go when there is no more bug in Enlisted.
