As a gigantic whale who buys almost all the premium squads in this game. The 1 premium type I never buy are paratroopers (only exception is THA LMG Paratroopers, funny gun shield). By far the most useless squad in the whole entire game. I’d dare say medics are better because at least the AI would heal my wounded soldiers in my squad or any soldiers around them automatically :joy:

Paratroopers take way too long to deploy when compared to last time. It now takes about 2 minutes before u even touch the ground (provided u don’t die before that). Your AI Paratroopers in your squad used to pull the chute perfectly in sync with your timing which should be 150m from the ground to reduce the amount of time spent in the air, whilst not dying from fall damage. But now they pull the chute way too high.

The real nail into the coffin was when they added the Red Arrow and Lead Indicator to the Transport plane. Now any crossplay brain-dead person ahem can see the gigantic red arrow go across the screen (already can hear the loud booms from the flak and NAOOWWWWW, from the transport plane already) have an AA setup and kill the plane before it reaches anywhere near the playable battlefield, or just stand where u can literally predict that para will drop and melee him as soon as he touches the ground. Or that an enemy plane passing by the battlefield will see your transport plane with a lead indicator and just down it because it literally no longer takes skill to kill transport planes anymore (to further make a point, I used to not be able to tell if a para plane was behind me when flying because my plane engine was so loud that it drowns out the flak and transport plane sound. But now seeing that Big Red Arrow on my screen, I can literally turn around and kill it easily.)

Paratroopers should be given more ammo when spawned on ground because at this point (they are so weak), I would only use them for variety in my setup.

They are just too restricted to so little ammo that they aren’t worth bringing at all (even with extra vitality they have). The fact that they have to compete with other infantry premiums/event squads (only comparing other similar size and number of special gun squads) for the squad like: MG45, MG42E, MG39, T24, NKVD Thomson, Fed MG, Belt fed BP, AT 44, Sichuan Tommy and SMG, PPK, ERMA EMP, TZ45, Horn STG, etc (I can’t be bothered to list them all). And still fight for my limited amount of squads that I can bring (12 squad slots are not enough).

Just imagine weighing MG42E Vs Paratrooper. Premiums in this game should the same appeal level so that people would actually buy them lol. Each time there is a sale for squads, I will never fail to laugh at those who buy the paras only to waste $30 to get shot down from the sky :joy:

All these cons are why paratroopers are just so useless.

Calm down bro, no need to be passive aggressive over an opinion. Of course you’d bring body armour into this :roll_eyes: there’s always one.

My whole point is that you can either spawn on top of the enemy as intended but you shouldn’t be able to use them as regular infantry squads that are better than tech tree squads. They would be even more versatile than they already are and over shadow tech tree squads. Hell they already are better than AT and mortar squads for the larger amount of ammo you get.

I see. Altho what i’m actually curious about is that do you even have thompson 100 rnds and Vickers paras? I couldn’t be bothered rummage thru all your replays since you mostly plays on low BR with crossplay turned off :yawning_face:

Well, in this case, the mass are not the deluded ones because there is the damning evidences that are in fact, Paratroopers are actually not that good. Objectively speaking. Unlike your claiming that they would be OP if they gets bit more ammo ONLY when they ground spawned.

It is not a crime to have a different opinion but when you closing your ears and doubling down this much on a public forum then is it really surprising that you’d get some backlashes? :thinking:

Last time I checked, Paratroopers were not historically deployed to drop ontop of tanks to surprise them - instead Paratroopers were supposed to drop behin enemy lines and do sabotage stuff.

If anything Paratroopers should get less ammo when dropping instead of when being deployed on the ground - realistically speaking I means.
