The new weapon of the Germans: SlGew 259(r)

In fact, this is the Soviet svt-40 semi-automatic rifle.
Because of its excellent performance, the Germans really like this weapon.
The Germans gave this weapon a new name: SlGew 259(r)
Just like the PPSh submachine gun.

The soldiers of Nazi Germany and Finland stationed in Karelia had an almost mysterious and special connection with the Soviet Tokarev semi-automatic rifle (SVT-40). Within the Soviet army, the SVT-40 was initially not popular - ordinary soldiers, especially those who were former collective farm workers, due to their low cultural level and poor learning ability, considered the maintenance of this rifle to be overly complicated, and because it used a gas-piston automatic mechanism, the operation was also very cumbersome. When the elite hunting troops of Nazi Germany obtained this semi-automatic rifle, it transformed into a deadly super weapon. These Nazi German soldiers had received strict training and developed the habit of cleaning their weapons carefully every day, and soon mastered the gas-piston mechanism of the Tokarev rifle. Being able to use the powerful semi-automatic rifle for rapid and continuous shooting on the vast cliffs and crags of Karelia brought great joy to the Nazi German hunters. Nazi German officers also carefully selected some SVT-40 rifles as their sniper rifles, and they had a formal designation of SlGew 259(r).

However, the extensive use of this type of weapon made it difficult to replenish the ammunition.
At this point, the Finnish ally of Nazi Germany offered a simpler solution: Their M/39 rifle was an improved version based on the Mosin-Nagant rifle from the Russian Empire era. Therefore, the ammunition produced by the Finnish military factory could perfectly match the Soviet weapons captured by the Nazi German army.

Thus, this weapon was not only widely used by the Germans on a large scale, but also the Germans specially provided a supply chain for it, and even gave this weapon a new name.

So, can the weapon SlGew 259(r) be regarded as a new type of weapon and not be considered as an ordinary captured weapon?
Do you hope to see this kind of weapon being used on our battlefield?
To supplement the 4th-level combat capability of the Germans。

The game does not need more captured weapons especially useless things like this. Germany already has by far the most br 4 rifles and wouldn’t need boring copy paste

Please don’t say that.
Because our Japanese and American friends rely heavily on German weapons to deal with tanks at the high level.
Moreover, our German friends also really like the Soviet Type 3 submachine gun,
and our Japanese friends even more prefer the American BAR.

If you say so, please take them away from our game as well, thank you.

I’d like it, but if there was going to be some captured soviet equipment, I’d prefer it to be something like a T34 or KV. I just feel like the SVT 40 might be a bit of a waste, considering there isn’t any lack of German BR4 rifles.

True, while this gun sounds interesting, it is far less significant than the MP‑41(r). Hardly anyone plays at BR4 right now, so adding it would just clutter the loot‑box pool.
It would be much better to introduce something for BR6 instead, or add new submachine‑gun options for Germany at BR2 and BR3.

I was personally against adding those weapons since there were better alternatives yet the devs were lazy and went with the easiest route. I still don’t think anything should be removed since people have paid real money for some of these items. I just believe that we should avoid adding even more captured content especially when there are countless of more interesting options

I don’t think captured weapons should ever be in the RT, but I think they’d be fine as event prizes
