The MG 15 n.A, not to be confused with the much different MG15 we have in game, was one of the main machine guns fielded by the Imperial German Army in WW1 starting 1915. It was designed to bridge the gap between rifles and heavy non-portable machine guns and act as a counterpart to the Lewis Gun, but ended up seeing less use than the MG 08/15, a development of the Maxim gun more man-portable. The gun fires at 500 rounds per minute and accepts 100 and 200 round belts. Once WW1 had ended, many were sold or scrapped due to heavy restrictions on Germany’s military, although there were a fair few that remained in storage. Skipping almost 20 years later, Germany is surrounded on all sides and is running critically low on resources, especially for producing new guns. So, MG 15 n.A.s were pulled out of storage and given to remaining Wehrmacht soldiers and Volkssturm militiamen in limited numbers in an effort to arm as many as possible with the limited resources available.
I think this would be an interesting gun for BR4, since there are already 100-round machine guns for Russia (DP beltfed) and the UK (Bren 100), and the lower rate of fire of this gun would match the others fairly well and be an interesting gun to use. I’m not really sure if it should be TT, although I’ll include it anyways, but probably better as an event gun or something of the like, considering the beltfed DP is premium and the Bren 100 is an old gold order. This could be a good tech tree gun though, if each nation were to get a 100 round machine gun on BR4 (and no, the M1919a4 doesn’t count because the stupid prone requirement makes it near useless in most cases).
