this is literally the exact reason.
You don’t have to be so dense… when forward facing guns are mentioned it’s obviously referring to it not being able to be controlled by pilot… it’s quite a big disadvantage.
not rlly. you can still fly the plane while controlling a gunner. especially when facing forwards.

Yes really… b25s guns are operated by the pilot while having full control of the plane.
Ju 188 guns are operated by the co pilot or whatever and you have to switch… when you switch you lose access to your full maneuverability… at-least on console… moving the plane on target is not viable while you’re using the gunner.
Just because you don’t like the 288 doesn’t mean you get to do this… you are disagreeing with me when im literally stating a fact… is this how it feels with other topics? lol… i get it.
ok well lets assume having to use wasd instead of mouse controls on the gunner is a huge downside for arguments sake. There is still the issues with the ju288 and ofc that the ju188a2 is good compared to its counterparts. sure the tu 2 is better but only marginally. The flying characteristics are practically identical and you trade less guns for more convenient frontal cannons

its a matter of opinion as i dont use mouse controls for flying anyways as they rlly hurt the plane when ur lagging. particularly with my fave plane the p51 d
there is no opinion in guns being operated by the pilot while flying normally compared to using the co pilot limiting your movement.
I was told that this is because of the flight instructor and after binding a button to disable it im actually able to fly the plane without screaming at my tv
its cuz of the flight instructor and it essentially acting as delayed inputs to the plane. but regardless can you tell me what the downside of using a front facing gunner while using wasd controls are compared to normal plane flight? I mean I guess you dont want to do that while bombing but otherwise im not sure
or maybe controllers dont get access to a way to fly beyond the flight instructor? idk
Alright so imagine your mouse functions as your movement key and the wasd is your aim for normal gunfights… it is naturally harder to keep on target by using the keys as you’re used to aiming with your arm… not directing it with keys.
If you’d like to prove your argument… find a way to actually do that… crank out 100 kills using wasd aim and then get back to me.
