This is a conclusion post regarding my last post: The GRAND tank poll

Let’s dive straight into results

1. USSR

Community wants the t-35 but only if bigger maps were added

Because only 28% of players were completely against it, I see no reason for this tank to not be considered

Sorry, I forgot to add that only one was used in Moscow so we can see this tank as an event reward or something like that

This tank has 3 turrets but also very weak armour, high profile and terrible engine. It will most likely be weak to infantry up-close so most players voted for adding it if we get more open maps

It is still unsure if community wants more variants of the t-28 or not

Because the number of votes for adding and not adding were identical, I would say players are more focused on adding/ balancing other things instead of getting another t-28 variant

Community wants ZiS-30 tank destroyers only if bigger maps were added

Similar numbers as on t-35 poll. ZiS-30 is a great tank destroyer but unusable on current maps

If bigger tanks like t-34 and KV-1 were added, to balance them we should give limited numbers to teams

So one team can only spawn 2 times in a big tank and no more

If more big tanks get added, best counter for axis are tank destroyers and Flak 88

Community wants KV-1 with limitations

This one surprised me because I thought most players are against adding KV-1 tanks to Moscow but it turns out I was wrong.

KV-1 was an early heavy tank but it had more malfunctions than the more reliable t-34 tank. To take them out, Germans had to use tank destroyers and AT cannons because their tanks weren’t designed to fight other tanks.

Because it was so slow and suspension broke every 10 minutes, this tank was an easy target for infantry (just don’t even try killing it with Pzb-38 :joy:)

They also voted for t-34 with limits on Tcat’s poll. I will just leave a picture and say something about it

t-34 was one of the best and most revolutionary tank designs in ww2. It was cheap, fast, had a lot of armour and had a great gun. It was used in the battle of Moscow and until the very end of the war.
The only issue with this tank was low crew count forcing the commander to act like the gunner

Community doesn’t really want the KV-2 assault tank

Players who were against adding it won by 1% more score which is enough to say that KV-2 wouldn’t be welcomed in Enlisted

2. Germany

Community doesn’t want the Pz-3L main battle tank due to lack of historical data of it being used in Moscow

Community wants HEAT shells in Moscow
These shells can counter heavier tanks and were used by Pz-4F1 and StuG-3A tanks

Community wants Marder 3 tank destroyers if bigger maps were added

Absolutely the same story as with the ZiS-30
Marder 3 can take out any Soviet tank with ease but it is vulnerable to infantry and thus unusable on current maps

I have found some information that Marder 3 might have never been used in Moscow so we can get Panzerjager 1 too which had about 120mm of penetration with APCR and 95mm of penetration with APHE so it can take out heavy soviet tanks with a well placed shot

Panther tank was one of the most feared tanks of ww2 and some say it was even better than the Tiger tank.

3. USA

Community wants M18 Hellcat tank destroyers

Famous American tank destroyer
It was one of the fastest tanks ever made and used the same cannon as the M10 tank destroyer. The only issue was paper-like armour and open turret roof

Community wants more Shermans

There were a lot of earlier/ later versions than the one we use in Enlisted
There are too many of them so I won’t add any pictures

It is unsure if community wants LVT’s or not

The number of people who voted ‘‘no’’ is almost 40% so I won’t make any conclusions

Is TNT pack too strong?..debatable

If we don’t count the players who voted ‘‘other’’ we can say 57% of people agreed but the number that disagreed is 39% which is still a lot for me to make a conclusion

Edit: oops, forgot to add the Panzer 38 which everyone of us wants to replace the Pz 3B

You still never mentioned there was only 1 of them ever used, which could negatively impact the vote for the people that prioritize historical accuracy.

Doesn’t work with the current system, as trolls will just ruin it for the rest of the team, as you can only select 1 tank to bring into battle. Unless they add this alongside that leaked premium time for P2W shenanigans )))

Early T-34 was unreliable as hell.

For the price you paid for it, it was probably the best tank in 1941

came too late to join in the party i suppose…

but. now, explain me, how in the world an M5 is supposed to take out a panther.

or how an pz II can take out kv1s.

it’s not going to be a pleasent experience for both.

but overhall. good job. good to see the community working for something.
it would be nicer to see russian results. but it’s going to be a littler harder as we don’t have any " anchor " points there.

P.S. you forgott to mention that all 3 nations had AT halftrucks.

it is truee that it’s not present on war thunder, but it can be made, as we have

What I watched and read, t-34 most certainly made germans a run for their money. They even designed the Panther by copying some of the features from the t-34

It was definitely better than everything Germans could throw at it

  • The turret was tiny and lead to an effective firerate of 2 shots a minute, because they mounted a 76mm gun in a turret designed to house a 50mm gun
  • The crew was effectively blind, with cases of T-34s getting shot over 30 times without returning fire simply because they couldn’t spot the enemy
  • The armor was of inferior production quality, leading to armor thin enough for the 37mm gun to penetrate the UFP and armor that would literally fall apart because of the engine vibrations after a couple of months
  • The sloped side armor proved to be horrible and the T-44 got rid of that because that part of the design was very bad
  • The christie suspension proved to take up a lot of space inside the hull and the T-44 got rid of that because that part of the design was very bad
  • The turret ring got enlargened 2-3 times in its production run because that part of the design was very bad
  • The germans did almost entirely copy the T-34 with one of the T-34 prototypes, but it wasn’t good enough when compared to the panther prototype that got approved of production
  • The final result is that even early Pz3s could go toe-to-toe with the T-34. The T-34 simply was produced at such a high quantity that it buried all of this inferiority by cases of 20 T-34s kekking on a single panther. Also late war T-34 is day and night compared to early T-34.

And the issue is that all of this inferiority would not be modeled in war thunder or enlisted.

That’s why I put the tank numbering limits poll on top because without any limits, tank balance will be chaotic and I agree with you

and yes, american half tracks would be cool too

There were hundreds of reports by the German army that they have troubles against the t-34
Can we please end this argument now? It has nothing to do with the topic

There is a large difference between “I think it would be neat so let’s add it” and “If it gets added the balance will get fucked up so much I will just quit the game”. As said, your polls do not reflect the latter properly at all, so most of these votes should be taken with a big grain of salt.

I swear all i see you doing is complaining about the game, and then complaining about people trying to talk or find solutions for the game. You seem incredibly toxic, id take a break if i was you.

All of us are toxic

But @5762269 is right. I should have made a better poll, though I agree we don’t need to make a big fuss about it if I didn’t put some details
