The Gewehr 43 is a well known rifle in game, being one of the two (and generally better) rifles in the BR4 German tech tree, and it uses its detachable 10 round magazine. However, this gun is, with modification, compatible with the 25 round magazine of the MG13. I think that an extended G43 with this larger magazine would make a nice event reward for BR4, and require minimum effort from the devs to make since everything needed is already modeled and present in game.
Should the Gewehr 43 (25 rounds) be added to the game as a BR4 event rifle?

While it requires modification to the G43 to work (should’ve specified that, I’ll edit that), it appears that it can.

Well, Soviets can get the 25-round mag for SVT/AVT
AVT with a 25-round magazine from Tokarev.
AVT is essentially just an automatic SVT; AVT magazines should fit SVT and vice versa, and indeed they do.

I only know of this gun (aside from the select-fire variants we all know about), but I haven’t looked into Gewehr 43s with MG.13 mags specifically.
I think the 20 round is more appropriate for the tech tree, since it was at least field tested in limited quantities.

20 vs 25 rounds is a meaningful difference if no other meaningful stats are different chiefly reload time
i am sure you would feel the same way if the garand had 13/15 rounds and the g43 and zh2t still had 10
Never, I’ll have to put up with it, wait until Dyrkard digs up a 30 rounds mag
