The performance gap between the M1918 and M1918A1 is minimal. The M1918 should be moved down to BR 2.

This aligns with historical fact that British forces did use the M1918. It would also fix the firepower shortage for machine‑gunner squads at low BR, who currently only have the Bren to fight against the Type 97 and ZB‑26. Additionally, US troops on Guadalcanal never fielded the Bren gun at all.

Man the BAR can’t be BR2😂 is just too much power for a be filled with Bolt actions

It is a WW1 weapon, and the US used it in all theaters if WW2. However, no German or Japanese main would ever vote yes to dropping it to BR2. I would support dropping the 1918 Base BAR, and would even support dropping the base ROF to 500 just to get it to BR2. The US does need it’s own MG at BR2.
