Currently the Soviets don’t have the best tanks for high tier battles, the IS-2 has too long of a reload to truly be effective, and everything else in the tech tree only has an 85mm cannon with APHE.
The T-34-100 is the best option for those who have it, but it would be nice to have a more versatile tank than the IS-2 at BR5 in the tech tree.
The T-44 was deployed to Europe during the war, but only saw combat once it was deployed to the far East. It’s more reasonable than something like an IS-3 being added, or a T-44-100 which I have seen suggested.
I think reasonably it could have a few BR-367P APCR rounds so that it can pen Tiger II cheeks up to a few hundred meters, solidifying it’s role as a brawler while the IS-2 remains a solid sniper for pesky greyzoners.

T44 100 is reasonable. Both king tiger and t44 100 have very good frontal plate but both can kill each other from the turret. Apcr for 85mm is not as good as the 100mm cannon. Normal Pershing also has hard time dealing with king tigers from front even with apcr due to the terrible post penetration. I am not against normal t44 but if they add it they should also add t 44 100.

I vote yes on just the regular T-44, as far as I am aware the T-44-100 is a post-war prototype and shouldn’t be in the game.
Edit: I was wrong, it just managed to squeeze in before the end of the war, we’re all good.
Would like to see the regular added first though, just like how the US Pershings were implemented.

its the only way to address IS2 reloading too long

Not really, since there are IS prototypes with 100mm gun. So this is not the only way.
But it is still very reasonable and logical addition.

Source?
As far as I have read, it was never deployed to service and never saw any action in WW2.
Hence my vote is a No.

It is a prototype. But it is not from after the war, it was built during the war.

I don’t have time to look through primary sources right now, but this article says the project will be completed in the spring of 1945.

I want a Centurion in the tech tree because the Brits managed to squeeze out 8 models and ship them to France for testing before the end of the war, don’t see how I can deny anyone the exact same thing then, let me amend my previous statement.

Rest assured, I support anything for the British.

Very unlikely, as those pre production Centurion prototypes are not present in WT.
In WT, there are only Centurions mark I and newer as far as know.
At least one Mk I was sent to the continent in June 1945 intended for combat, but just missed getting into action due to the war ending.
At least, according to The Tank Museum in Bovington, but they’re probably a good source on the subject, especially when it comes to British armour.
Not really bothered by pre-production or not, the difference is armour type/thickness, I don’t even think that difference is visual.

Well Soviet Union produced around 600 T-44 during world war 2 actually and after the war. The T-44/100 prototype was done in February 1945 so yeah it existed during WW 2. Its far more realistic then the Jet they got.
I think that’s the production of all T-44:
- 1944 год - Ноябрь — 5; Декабрь — 20;
- 1945 год - Январь — 20; Февраль — 20; Март — 60; Апрель — 65; Май — 75; Июнь — 85; 2-е полугодие — 555
In 1944 they got 4 then during December 20 and 1945 June USSR had 555 T-44s:
And this is the variants they had so its far beyond prototype and there was more T-44s produced during the war then King Tigers. So really they can add T44 without a problem or they can reduce King Tigers use in game. And there is more detailed :
Tank Archives: Intermediate Tank
Topic here but T-44 was not a prototype at 1945 was finished tank simply there was no need of it since Germany was RIP. IS-3 also is a tank they can add or they can balance King Tiger. But the Soviets need better tanks at BR V for sure.

So T-44 and IS-3 are absolutely viable options specially after the jets.

Okay, I’ll make exception.
According to what you have send me. From what I understand, Museum is considering prototype with 20mm polsten as Mark I.
I thought they were to be considered as unmarked pre production prototypes.
Either way, centurion with 20mm is not in WT.
That is my understanding too, the Mk I was intended with a 20mm, if it doesn’t have one it’s either been retroactively refitted (like the Museum example) or another Mark that never had one to begin with.
That’s unfortunate, got hopeful that I had just missed it when you said they had a Mk I.

My question was regarding the claim that it was allegedly was deployed and even saw service.
Which sounds like fake news.
No only for training there was no need for such tank and it would have been bad for Soviet Propaganda if T-44 or IS-3 was destroyed not to mention there is absolutely no reason to use them since T-34 and IS-2 where doing the job real life is not a game there is problems with logistics and training and many more factors I really doubt they used them in combat T-44 may have seen some combat limited against Japan but also is not confirmed claim and not to mention why would they need it Japan had absolutely bad tanks and Germany was out of the war so I doubt they used T-44 in combat role outside of training and parades but even for parades IS 3 took the spot.

It doesn’t matter whether it participated in combat or not.
For example, the Pz III B never participated in combat on any of the maps currently present in the game. It only participated in combat in Poland.
Nevertheless, it is the tech tree/campaign unlock basically from the beginning of the game.
Same goes for japanese tanks. So many Japanese tanks currently present in the game never saw combat.
Totally irrelevant factor to whether is something added or not.

The reason I don’t want a T-44-100 is because I believe the King Tiger should remain the be all end all of tanks in Enlisted, or maybe a Jagtiger in the future. The T-44-100 is honestly too good and I really just want a better T-34-85.
