if i get an order for a sword can i redeem it after the event or do i lose it?
There’s a grace period once the event challenges end, to give ppl time to chose wich they want. I’m not certain you can keep the voucher after such period, it would be hazardous as nothing says swords will be avaible on another event…
Get yours while you can.

i doubt they will just remove the ticket after the event ends. to my knowledge this has not been the case for any other special order. and i do also think they will probably give out a new set of sword orders the next event.
yes you got one in the summer event. so they will probably give out more in the winter event (if there is one) as filler there aswell

I instantly redeemed it for my British assault squad. 1st battle I charged into a point my team had to cap and somehow managed to cut down 14 of the axis scum before they eventually stopped my rampage. I bet on Tunisia being a better campaign to use the sword in due to the close combat in the buildings and I have not been disappointed so far
have any of you used a sword in normandy, berlin or moscow?
i have one in berlin, and now one in moscow. but swords in general arent fantastic. they are collectibles which are nice to look at. if you are wondering which campaign to purchase the sword in, i would recommend just going for the one you like the most / are doing right now. you will get another sword tomorrow if i am not mistaken. and there will probably come other events where you can get more swords down the line
I plan on giving my next sword to the Axis in Normandy so if you haven’t chosen by then I shall report my findings to this topic once I have had a chance to see how useful it is in the more open fields. Should hopefully be useful in the buildings and bunkers at least I imagine

Don’t expect it’s some kind of powerful weapon. Its some fancy stuff rather than a practical weapon, after all it’s WWII not Crusades.
And I tried many times with my sword in Normandy and I think Axes are a little better, I only managed to kill maximum 22 in a battle with it.

@114857834 @118225699 The most important utility of the sword is it boosts movement speed. I put it on my machine gunner so that they can get on points fast since they are slow when holding the MG. An engineer would also be good to secure a point with defenses before enemies get there.
They don´t expire, still have the tokens from past events.

IDK I think the devs figured that it would be dumb to have a melee weapon that enemies could simply run away from lol.
I ran a test and it took me ~14 seconds to run a distance with an MG, ~11 with a knife, and ~9 with a sword. No significant differences between a knife and an smg/rifle. If anyone wants to run their own test and share the results please do
