The Studebaker Corporation US6 (G630) was a 2½-ton 6×6 truck produced during World War II primarily for export under the U.S. Lend-Lease program. Although developed in the United States, the vast majority of US6 trucks were delivered to the Soviet Union rather than used by American frontline forces.
The first vehicles arrived in the USSR in late 1941. After extensive Red Army field testing (1942–1943), the truck proved highly reliable and adaptable to harsh terrain and poor fuel quality. It was widely used for:
Towing artillery and anti-tank guns
Transporting infantry and supplies
Serving as a chassis for multiple rocket launchers (notably Katyusha variants)
The US6 became one of the most important logistical vehicles of the Soviet war effort. Soviet troops nicknamed it the “Studer”.
Currently, the Studebaker US6 appears in the US tech tree as the default APC unlock, despite its historical prominence in Soviet service.
Top Speed: 55.94 km/h (same with US tech tree version one)
Drive: 6×6
Note:
Ideally, I would prefer all unarmed truck/APC-class vehicles to be placed at BR1, since their role is limited to logistics and mobile spawning rather than direct combat capability.
However, this suggestion reflects the current live version of Enlisted, where unarmed transports are categorized as BR2.
Any discussion about lowering unarmed transports to BR1 should be handled as a separate balance proposal.
I think copy and paste equipment should be reserved for events, premiums, or battle passes. Copy and pastes really should exist in the tech tree, especially for a nation like Russia that had a lot of domestically produced equipment that could have a spot instead.
Remember the War on Wheels suggestion I made last year, I ended up cutting out most of the suggestion and only actually suggesting a small portion after a terribly disappointing major update.
The cut out ideas included differentiating between light, medium trucks and prime movers.
light trucks are smaller easier to hide and only act as a mobile spawn for infantry.
medium trucks are mobile spawn, can pull light gun or can function as mobile ammo box/resupply point for infantry and ground vehicles.
prime movers. could pull even heavy guns to position and do everything medium trucks can.
Ultimately the maps are too small and content is trickling too slowly to bother with all this.
Now the relevant part: the most common medium truck of the Red Army was the Studebaker and it carried the Red Army´s logistics. Reliable, large load capacity, excellent mobility, the Studebaker was superior to the domestic trucks of the Soviet Union which were usually out-dated copies of western trucks from the late 20s or early 30s.
Without these trucks, the Red Army could have never pulled of a successful large scale offensive like Operation Bagration or Saturnus so the Studebaker is more than worthy to get credit and representation in game.
That’s exactly why it should stay BR 2. to not complicate things at BR 1.
On that note they should be BR 3 instead.
The ability to act as a mobile spawn is a tactical difference and can contribute rather greatly at the flow of the Battle.
The add the ability to launch a Squad by transport fast into enemy rear osr flanks, and then immediately after can start pumpin out new squads.
I’m srrry but ur way of thinking about it here is completely false…
As regarding the Truck in particular here, yeah I’d like to see it insoviet service. But at the minute this is a very low priority of things to fix on my list, there are key features of the game still misssing before we care about this minor Truck issue.
