SU-5-3 for BR 2 USSR

Event analogue of 15cm sIG 33 B Sfl.
Same gun (literally Rheinmetall gun produced by Germany in the USSR)
Same style of cardboard tank chassis - T-26 and Pz II
Same open top.

I would not mind this literally having copy-pasted specs from the sIG with a different model.
The USSR needs an HE launcher that isn’t locked on high tier.
USA has Sherman 105
Japan has Chi-Ha short gun
Germany has the sIG and to a lesser measure Dicker Max.
I’m all for unique and balanced faction-exclusive features (75mm Duck, etc) but when all factions but one have the ability to fill BR2 with HE that stops being a faction-exclusive gimmick and looks more like singling one out.

Don’t worry, they’ll probably end up making the AG-2 buildable by Engineer Is.

I wouln’t bet on it, HMGs and normal AT guns will arguably be better, + from a pragmatic stance auto GLs will probably be mortarmen-exclusive for all factions, perhaps even premium/event only like paras (who I may remind you also came first to some factions, and then to all of them).

this one has very few ammo. Is this in War Thunder?

No, not in WT аs far as I know. But since we have reloading panzerfausts, I dont see how the ammo count should be a problem.

Su 122 is more likely to be added.

I mean Im all for the suggestion,

However your last line isnt quite true, frankly the T-28E is the single best HE flinger, and frankly BR2 tank in the game atm. So its not a balance issue at all.

Saying that, I love it, and will gladly welcome more derp guns, in this case, the Su-5-1 already being modelled, it wouldnt be too hard for it to be adjusted to be the Su-5-3.

I think the Su-26 is another good option.

yeah, SU 122 is way more widely known and was used quite a bit.

Agree but desing is honestly ugly XD like idk it doesnt look like the cannon is that powerfull until it shoots Big proyectile with tons of tnt

It is armed with a 152 mm mortar m1931. I think this is the closest example to the sIG 33, because the sIG 33 is essentially a modified version of this cannon.

This really depends on what you mean by best, if you want to be exclusively anti-infantry then maybe the T-28 can hold it’s ground, but if you want to overpressure anybody (as the sIG can basically oneshot any tank in the game with its HE) the T-28 isn’t that good. Perhaps I should have specified.

I mean why overpressure anyone when your APHE shell has so much filler it can overpressure on a nonpen, not to mention, you fighting nothing you cant very easily pen in it.

Well, I like heavy calibers. You fire one round and 30 people die at the same time.

I mean you can do that with the T-28.

But I do agree, derp guns are fun, and as I said above, I would still love to see it added, the Su-26 being another good option as well.

Well, if you’ve taken the sIG, you’ll notice the difference between it and the T28.

This also seems interesting.

Oh Im well aware, just stating for the record, its not an issue of balance, the T-28E is a disaster for balance, being too good for BR2, but has no place in BR3, honestly I think it needs an artificial reload nerf, that and its MG turrets need to be less immortal, or at least not controllable by the gunner seat.

Regardless, I still want more diversity for options at BR2, fixing the broken T-50 model would be great, a TT Su-76, This vehicle, or anything else that fits at this BR, the less T-28E’s I see, the better.

I’d rather see it introduced in TT, mostly because of the low ammo capacity and other drawbacks that might make people not even bother getting it.

I find the T28E very balanced compared to the German 75mm HEs which reload in less than 4 seconds.
If BR2 doesn’t meet BR3, German tanks are vastly unbalanced.

This one would be a decent BR 2 option. Alot of fun in Call to arms

Id love the Su-122…used to be such a troll in warthunder (under BRd)…dont know where it fits in enlisted…like 2.5/3

?
Dont really get your point here.

Really? I feel like you can perhaps do it in the same time, but I have never gotten more than 15-ish on 76mms

Not really, it’s quite easy to destroy with anything you have access to on BR 1 and 2, not to mention 3. It’s pretty good against infantry, but arguably more vulnerable because of how big it is. It’s also foldered with the normal T28, so most new players will be using shrapnel anyway. I thinks its fine honestly, maybe this could be fine

But then all tanks should have AI bow gunners that fire on their own like tail gunners or the gunners on the premium LVT squad.
