You just shoot on either side of the gun or the lower front plate. One side of the gun has 3/4 of the crew behind it and the other has a giant ammo rack and penning the lower front plate hits the transmission.
It’s honestly easier to kill frontally once you pen it even though it’s slightly harder to pen. Any BR1 tank with a cannon can do it. And no the Grant and Lee shouldn’t be BR1
Nope, just the Alecto
I dont know - I beat LEE and Grant very easily with my Panzer III J. Doesnt seem stronger to me - just like crusader, both could easily move to BR1 and nothing really would change.
Heck even Stug III F could move to BR1 and nothing really would change. what tank cant deal with those vehicles? Panzer II and A13? those are trash and dont get used anyways.
I find that most people that use the Grant don’t really know how to use it, but it’s definitely an upgrade compared to BR1 counterparts that warrants being put into BR2, same thing with the Crusader.
thats not what i asked draw a grid and divide the front into 10/20/100 squares how what percentage of that front can be penned by any ussr or us br1 tank 10 25 50 100, i dont care if you can pen a fist sized area that is 3% of the front when the stug 3 can pen everything of a br1 tank
am sick of people applying warthunder game play directly to enlisted. yes there made by the same company with many of the same assets. but last time i checked there was no (gray death zone) to warthunder. as of last time no regualr infantry game mode. you must balance not just armor/speed/ and fire power but ability to kill infantry and tanks. the size of the map heavy tanks rule enlisted as flanking is nearly impossible to impossible if a tank is in the gray zone.
i admit of have brushed up on planes in warthunder and it silly how 50 cals and any cannon is balanced. but given rates of fire and ammo counts unless they gave cannons almost no ammo there is not existing way to balance them.
that aside if one tank has to pixel hunt and worry about angles and one does not than its even worse than a pc playing against a console. sorry this is not warthunder most duel’s are at point blank range two tanks immobile shooting at each other first one to shoot wins. the only real strategy is dont be seen before you shoot first.
Btw, to everyone who said no (looking at you kriegerfaust) here’s a clip of the StuG III F getting killed by an M3 Stuart at a decent range just to show you that it’s not hard to do!
why isnt cm addressing this?
Will help a lot against the KV spam since BR II for Germany and Japan are terrible BRs specially against BR III matches.
I think devs are not realising how weak StuG F is for BR3.
Otherwise, I cant name a single reason why it shouldnt be BR2.
I can confirm. Before they incorporated it into the tech tree. The gold order StuG III F in the Stalingrad campaign saved me against many KV1s. The low profile taught me how to be a sneaky tank hunter, hiding behind street obstacles. It was very rare to see back then in the old Enlisted. Even today I don’t see it very often. I wonder if downtiering would make it become more popular. It’s a very underrated tank when used properly.
Well it will since it will be very unique and real choice to the Puma since now the Puma is the best BR II vehicle the Axis have and with the STUG III F being BR II really its a hard choice since they have different strength and weaknesses.
BR1 armor, no MG and bad post pen damage against KV1, but 7.5 cm L43 is still at least a threat to KV1 unlike most BR2 canons.
The armor of the Stug 3f2 is 50mm in the forehead (if I’m not mistaken). The exact same armor is present in the Pz-4 F1 (if I’m not mistaken, the 50mm hull and the 50mm turret, but it is located on 2 sides). Now I will answer your question. Stug 3 F2 is penetrated by all tanks with 45mm guns and T-28e in Enlisted
Well Panzer III J also has 50mm of armor, Panzer IV F1 has better HE - thus it’s BR2.
GeneralBrus is correct.
StuG is built on Panzer III chassis thus you should compare the StuG to Panzer III tanks.
In terms of armour, StuG F is the same as the Panzer III J (BR1) and J1 (BR2), but trades MG and turret for a better gun. Its not a better vehicle, just specialised in a different way.
Moved to BR II in the major update
