This update would now enable the AT gunners to have a construction menu. You will get the chance to set up Mauser’s famous heavy AT gun trolley which measures at 28mm shells. There are two models. First model looks like a go-kart and second model looks like they improved it and it has proper wheels. Please follow the provided link with the full specifications on the gun. There is quite alot of usefull data there.

Since it’s the gun was present from 1941 onward. It could be introduced with a new squad. 3 members which are generally sufficient to operate it and improve with time. One member has the construction hammer handy while two other assist. Then you can acess this gun trolley with previous AT gunners once this squad is unlocked. Thats the general idea

I think an event/premium squad capable of building light AT guns like these would be pretty fun, like the goofy soviet auto grenade launcher. Or you could have it as an inverse alternative to the engineer’s HMG and throw it on all AT squads, but I don’t know how useful they’d be outside of BR2.

So why would you want that over an 50 mm gun version?
The 50mm gun has even more pen but with explosive filler aswell instead of beeing APCR so against tanks it would be worse and against infantry it would be even worse.
A single 20mm HE shell every 3 seconds or so would just be laughably bad and you would be better of just using your bolt action rifle instead.

So unless DF heaviely buffs 20mm HE this gun would just be total garbage.

Balance it out to make it much quicker to move than a regular AT gun. After all, it is a quarter of the weight.

Like how often do you even need to move the gun?

95% of the time you build them already facing the target you want to kill and only move it if you misjudged the orientation. And once the tank is gone you abandon it or use up all the HE is targets present itself.

But with a 20mm gun I doubt anyone would want to keep holding onto it even if fast.
