Soviet Sniper Rifle for BR2

USSR needs a BR2 sniper rifle. Their BR1 sniper has an abysmal 6.6s reload time, far outclassed by all other nations with a 3.5s or shorter option. It becomes even more painful when all 3 nations get upgraded sniper options in BR2 and you’re stuck with the same BR1 rifle.

I propose to add a Mosin 91 “Dragoon” sniper to the tech tree as the BR1 sniper rifle. It should have similar stats to the current Dragoon rifle and be fitted the PU 3.5x scope. Though I couldn’t find historical pictures of this scope on an unmodified Dragoon, many Dragoons were converted to 91/30 specification in the early 30’s, which then had PU scopes mounted to them. It’s not unthinkable that the receiver drilling and wood carving needed to attach the scope mount could have been done to an unconverted Dragoon rifle since the physical dimensions were the same and the receivers were both rounded in the location needed for drilling.

The 91/30 sniper can then be moved up the tech tree to Tier 2, changed to BR2, and linked to the normal 91/30 rifle. The only change needed to feel like an upgrade and compete with other BR2 snipers is a significant reduction in reload speed (ideally to 4s or less). The Kar98k sniper has a similar pattern, with the BR1 version having a 5.7s reload and the BR2 version 3.4s.

Would you like to see the Mosin Dragoon Sniper added to BR1, and the Mosin 91/30 buffed and moved to BR2?

The Sniper Kar98k (BR I) has a reload of 5.65 seconds.

The Sniper Pre-War Kar98k (BR II) has a reload of 5.65 seconds.

There’s the Sniper Gewehr 98 (BR II) does have a reload of 3.0 seconds, but it’s RoF is a low 52.
