Im not sure that the groove and button in question are a scope mounting rail at all. Mainly cause it doesnt look like it integrates to any existing scope. I think we might be making shit up.

To me, for BRIV and BRV Japs it is fine to say that if it is possible, it is fine.
Id ratger have the Type Ko than the Type Hei. Because its real and also the Type Ko sights freaking suck.

Then fill the gap with the discrepancy for all the other nations… they don’t need them? Japan didn’t need an auto rifle.
I have to say that was sarcastic and they are wildly different situations but it’s the principle.
I agree with you, type Hei late scoped was more a suggestion in case the defs don’t want the Type Ko because its a premium.
Maybe both should be added, Type Ko on BRIII and Type Hei late on BRIV.
Bumping this thread to attract more attention to this matter. Japan is still missing any scoped weapons above BR2

Where are the BR3 semi auto snipers for the other nations? Oh that’s right… premium.
Except for the Sniper SVT-38 and Sniper Garand. At least check more than one nation before making absolute statements.

Hm… that is correct, i forgot about m1 garand in place of M1C and didn’t even know of sniper svt 38s existence as i do not pity myself with using them.

strap a scope with zip ties to type 97 AT rifle → grant it to snipers → problem solved.
Funny enough, I had heard various reports that the type 97 AT rifle already came with a scope. Just like they did with the ptrs- 41 they just chose to not include the scope. For all we know they could include a scoped version of the type 97 as an event gun. That’s just my reasoning for how the devs would do things. I don’t particularly agree with Japan being stuck at br2 Max for their snipers.

Well probably Type 5 4x telescopic sight was the original the one that is found with the NTC Kogaku adjustable is a single example that is put either by the collector or was field modified since its not the original telescopic sight for the Ko rifle. Probably the original one is Type 5.

The adjustable can be put almost on any rifle with side scope but its very hard to adjust its not something you can do on the field and requires custom gunsmithing to be done. That’s why its not the original for the Ko. The original one was something like this:
