I’m sure everyone has AVS fatigue at this point, but I think this addition is a no-brainer. We all know that the Sniper squad is inherently weak, and this wouldn’t affect overall game balance to add to the Soviet tree. It would also probably take <1 hour of dev time to implement.

Man alot of guns could turn into legacy weapons for sure.
Would it be possible to add a PU scope to the AVT-40 with a 20 round mag instead? Then you’d have a different sniper weapon and could pick between ROF or capacity
It’d be more interesting than just adding basically copies of the same gun with a different mag.

The 15 round was the standard magazine. The others were prototypes. Sure in this game we widely use prototypes and I don’t mind that either, but standard issue content should be standard in the RT, even if it’s slightly worse than it’s prototype brother
To be fair, the FG-42 sniper variant should also be added to Germany’s weapons technology tree.
I need they add Sniper AVT-40 in game.
