Smle mk 3 (T)

br 2
BR Type Tech Tree
Availability The US and UK tech trees need a weapon with a side-mounted sniper scope. Similarly, the Soviet side can address this by adding side-mounted sniper scopes to the Winchester 1895 and SMLE. This would only require creating two sniper scope models.
Gameplay Purpose & Role Currently, both Germany and Japan have weapons with side-mounted sniper scopes, which make them very convenient to use. The Allies also need this type of interesting sniper rifle.

Yes, we already have Carcano M91 w/ scope and Per-war Kar98k w/ scope for German BR II TT. And we should have another TT sniper rifle for USA in BR II.

As much as I would like having a sniper variant of the Lee-Enfield at BR2 I do worry that it might be a bit strong. Also as shown by the No.4 Sniper at BR3, the rifle’s detachable magazine means that you don’t specifically need a side-scope variant to allow the gun to rapidly reload.

As for the Russians, I’m not aware of them making any sniper variants of the Winchester 1895 at all, let alone use them during WW2.

Yes, this isn’t proof of actual combat use. I’m just sharing an interesting photo.

I don’t know what I’m looking at (as in the context of the photo as a whole), but that is not a Winchester 1895.

Something lever-action and with a very archaic optical sight.

Yea I can tell, but it’s not a Winchester 1895.

I don’t mind it being added but I think BR II is a little low for a ten round sniper that had relatively fast rof.

yeah, that looks like some weird custom/one-off rolling block action with a lever to open it faster/differently, with a scope from the 1870s.

Am in favor of the No. 1 short magazine Lee–Enfield Mk III (HT)*, if for no other reason than so I can use snipers in my all british br2 lineup.

Is this the Enfield your suggesting?:
