SITREP №2 - The Hype Awakens

To be honest I’m unbothered because it didn’t really MATTER that much to me anyway.

In other World War II games, there are various types of anti-aircraft guns such as 128mm, 88mm, and 50mm rapid-fire anti-aircraft guns. I look forward to seeing some of these as part of the map scene props and as corresponding weapons for BR in Dark Stream.

Regarding your point about assigning specific maps to weapons or teams to prevent some out-of-place issues, I recall that Darkflow seemed to have attempted something similar when merging the tech trees. I remember there was an announcement about categorizing certain weapons to appear on specific maps, like certain tanks only being available on designated maps to adhere to historical accuracy. However, Enlisted is still a fast-paced game and is much more challenging compared to tactical teams. I think the previous campaign mode was better, but the severe player diversion led to the necessity of merging. So, it seems that this idea might only be feasible when there are more players or when Darkflow has a better plan. Eventually, that idea was abandoned due to player complaints that it was too complicated. Now that I think about it, it’s quite similar to what you’re suggesting.

At the beginning of this game, everyone complained that the production capacity of “en” should be divided among them. But now, this game seems to be nothing special, ordinary and nobody cares about it. The most distinctive feature of the game - the ability to drive vehicles - has not been realized. Moreover, the market competition is already saturated and it’s time to pick up something reliable now.

No matter how strong the elite squad is, what about the fairness of the game you claim? Earlier you said that a few weapons obtained by banned players affected the so-called ‘fairness’! Strengthening the elite squad won’t affect it anymore? Isn’t that just slapping yourself in the face? If you can’t manage it, get a new planner!

I think you are referring to the one and only Test Server which lasted for only several days, where all gear was categorized by “letters”, where e.g. Tiger 1 had letters B, N, T meaning you would potentially get to play on berlin, Normandy and Tunisia maps with it.

That testing was so short (I was out of town for the week and couldn’t participate), had so few players (because test server) and was so unbalanced (because people with M1903 and Stuart were thrown into the same matches as people with STG and Tiger 2), that the fast conclusion of “history bad” was made.

Now, despite what my opponents often try to claim, I have never and will never advocate for intentionally unbalanced gameplay.

I have come up with a few ideas over the years from gear automatically changing depending on the theater (e.g. your Panther becomes Tiger 1 in Tunisia because Panthers never fought in North Africa) to interchanging squads depending on the theater (e.g. Chinese squad in Burma, Arabs in Tunisia, French resistance in Berlin, etc.), but currently my most refined concept to avoid insane BS is this:

Enlisted 2.0 – Historical and Balanced concept. With UK, Italy and France

Why the devs thought low BR Berlin was acceptable and won’t allow players to choose their own BR/map links is beyond me.

Like no, I do not want to be fighting 1930s Soviet tanks in Berlin (like T-28)

That’s not why I play Enlisted

I will quit this BS every single time, regardless if I have a booster activated or not

This is called bait and switch.

This is not what I signed up for in 2020-21.

If Enlisted devs had announced their game back then as “T-28 in Berlin haha”, I would have spared lots of money and time over the 5 years.

quit acting like a man child and go try a different game instead of repeatedly abandoning your team, either put up or shut up

Well we can give then Japan KV and Sherman tanks and sure they can have similar aircrafts as long as Japan has similar tanks and ground attackers to the Allies BR III.

The merge killed any historical accuratcy

Merge killed any player choices thats for sure. We all wish we can pick modes and maps but player happyness has never impirtant. For me demolition mide is the worst.

So the next step is to give the Allies Japan’s non-existent, unhistorical , 21st century tank and the 30 round full power automatic rifle? It’s better to unify the weapon vehicles of all factions, at least no one will complain, and of course, it will also lose a lot of fun.
What I mean is that the meteor is indeed very powerful, but overall it is necessary. Change the outfit to 500 pounds will greatly damage the current situation and force players to pay for F80. Japan’s overall strength in the BR3 is indeed limited, but the Ki100 is too powerful, almost comparable to the USSR 5BR fighter.

I’ll absolutely get aggressive towards people who screw their team by deserting them over something as stupid as seeing a Puma in tunisia

There was literally never historical accuracy ever. At no point in history were there giant 9 man squads of infantry using FG42s

I mean it’s his game session, and he clearly only comes for the gameplay/“immersion” and doesn’t care about the lost exp. What are going to do? Send an NKVD unit down to his house and force him to stay in the game?

I think we all know how veekay feels at this point. It’s annoying AF when it’s all he ever says and feels the need to bring it up in pretty much every single thread even when it has nothing to do with it. So yes, at a certain point he should stop being toxic against the game and bringing the mood down for everyone else. It’s literally the definition of insane. Doing the same thing over and over thinking he’ll get a different outcome.

Every single news thread polluted. For years.

Cool, except this is a team based game and there’s more people involved in every session than just him
