I have no care fighting soviets as their teams are subpar cannon fodder… so seeing this going against me even when i’m not benefiting affects me zero.

Many people are waiting for this many years and nothing happened and probably not going to happen. Developers definitely know about this and do nothing for like 2 or 3 year. And probably will not do in future also. By the way, I don’t care about Soviet body armor, though. Firstly, it’s rare in combat, very rare indeed. And secondly, it never stopped me from defeating the USSR as the Germans. A -10 percent damage bonus is simply too insignificant in a real Enlisted battle to influence the outcome and determine who wins.

I’m not denying that you have a point… it IS an imbalance… do i think it should be removed? No… and i’m well within my rights to express that.
Let the Soviets have their body armor and the 10% damage reduction. Counter it by increasing every other faction’s weapons damage by 10%. ![]()

Man, having to reload my type Hei/otsu three times only to down a single squad (5 or 6 times if you need to finish the downed aswell) sure does sound balanced when the svt 38 can do the same without doing it once…
Yeah but the experience is one thing and its hard to get unbiased opinion

- body armor essentially makes FG-42 II a Type Hei Auto but without any recoil or mag size benefits
- Makes Scotti go from being the second best AR in the game to being Hyde with half the mag size
- Invalidates Type Hei Auto, Type 4, G41 completely
- Removes the 6.8 damage SMGs advantage, however small it might be, ON TOP OF still reducing their effective 3 shot range
Its just insane that this thing persists, or even more insane that people defend it

What u are saying is so true but the thing is it only really matter at clan level , I play both soviets and Germany a lot , most Soviet teams are indeed cannon folder with mosins and dragoons in br5 , heck many players don’t even know body armor is a thing ,
I think a more reasonable solution would be to buff Japan with new SF that has 15 damage while giving them samurai body armor of their own lol , or maybe make it like body armor gets u to br5 to protect low tier players with weak smgs because let’s be honest when was the last time u played br5 germany against randoms and u lost because soviets have body armor edge .

You can look at all those numbers crunch them all you want that is obsessing over the issue… body armor exists and it’s unfair really is all you need to say but then you break it down to what it does to specific weapons like cmon man.

So how is that supposed to work if you have a type hei rifle?
You got 5 rounds and face a 9 man squad with armor so you need 2 shoots each for a total of 18 shoots.
Do you really believe that the enemy will just let you reload your gun 3 times infront of him before he will react to you?
I could maybe understand thinking that the auto hei will be able to overcome the armor issue with no problem but the problem is that armor also affects every othere weapon and with it lower BR too.
Not sure how satisfying a gun would feel to play if it is that useless even at point blank range.
If your response if just “aim for the head instead” then maybe the soviet side should recieve a damage nerf aswell so that even for them skill can be rewarded.
I wouldn’t because i don’t pity myself with low tier… and also find me situations of people running 9 man rifleman squads of body armor in low BR… since we want to do what ifs.
