At present, I think the anti-personnel mine (Bounce Betty) is a bit too unreasonable. If you think about it, it only needs to be thrown to the ground like a can, and it will automatically drill into the ground like WidowMine, even if the ground is made of concrete.
If you want to bury it, at least you need to squat down and stick it into the soil instead of just throwing it around afterwards.
Also I think hard ground should not be drilled into the ground by Bouncing Betty, but left completely exposed like Soviet anti-personnel mines
So maybe we can change it like this?
All anti-personnel mines can be buried in soft ground such as soil. Time spent in exchange for better hiding effects
Maybe just drop it on the ground, it might be easier to spot but can be deployed quickly
All hard surfaces such as concrete and steel cannot be buried
of course it need like animation of some kind, you can spam mines too easily. i’m sooo against click-and-forget features in this game. Despite it takes a while for a mine to fully charge it doesn’t change anything, you can still spam them around.
Many weapons have very short animation or some part is skipped. (Ex: pin removal from grenades, blank round for grenade launchers)

It would be nice for these nuances to be added, as well as for other things. Actually taking a legit stab at being realistic. However, it’s hard to reconcile those nuances with a game that plays like it has ADHD.

it looks as if the entire core of the game was directed from above, but at the same time they had spare assets that artificially fill the game.
Slow the game down make it so you cannot instant cap and give us more tickets and make the objectives a lot slower to capture then I will not have a problem with it otherwise leave the AP mines alone.
I brought it only to put light on the inconsistency in this game, things that practically doesn’t matter and have barely an impact take so much time to build, yet the land mine, that can kill your entire squad is just click and forget. This is just ridiculous. all you’re saying now is supporting unbalanced gameplay design
Not inconsistent at all, if someone wants to troll the team building czech hedgehogs to troll the team giving attackers free cover to shoot from and making the defender team less maneuverable it should take a while to spam that shit, you can’t troll allies with AP mines.
Also, give your squad the order to space up if you’re one of the noobs losing 2-3 guys to a single AP mine.
And to finish, AP mine enforces slower gameplay, look where you step, isn’t that one of the thing y’all want?
The entire point is, it doesn’t matter, isn’t broken, don’t fix it.
Game already has way too many issues that appeared after fixing shit that wasn’t broken to start with.
Just look at todays update, it must be the fourth time I see smoke being messed with, grenades blocking windows was added, then broken, then added again now.
Jumping windows and weapons disappearing from your hand is consequence still of the update to “nerf bunny hoppers”.
There’s no reason to mess with something that isn’t a real issue, you may actually create one if you do so.
I think what you are suggesting is reasonable, but unfortunately it is not applicable for this game where you can find games that last 10 minutes. If it were something like HLL, I would understand and cry out for it, but here it’s not worth it. Also, as someone up there said, more animations are needed for many other things, but…
I disagree with what yall are saying tbh. It doesnt take long at all, especially if you spec to be a builder. Even more true if you’re using engineer squads properly.
You can get an entire defensive line down with little time at all. And hedgehogs are great at blocking bullets

Currently, in this game, only Bouncing Betty has the problem of automatically burrowing into the ground. Others, such as IJA or Soviet army anti-personnel mines, are normal.
This seems a little unfair, so I think they should be kept consistent. It takes time to bury it, and it is easier to find if it is not buried.
I think a little difference in details will make the game more realistic.
Tbf the planting animation in HnG was pretty reliable. The dropping animation in Enlisted is not only sus but also glitchy because if something goes wrong, too fast idk the stupid mine isnt planted.
