Several severe problems of the new Lonefighter mode

As my expectation, this lonefighter is really a shabby one, mostly a UI off mode.
See this for more suggestion:

Here, I will only talk about some really important issues:

  1. You should keep those game intentional, or “fictional” part visible!
    Now, even the state of capture point need manually open M to see. This is an fictional design of game. IRL, nothing is like this. In most “semi-realism” FPS still enable you to see this. Unless like ARMA3, it’s really a matter of killing most enemies to capture or gain control of one place.
    Also, you should also able to see your health and stamina! As a human of course you know yourself’s conditions!!!
  2. It’s stupid not able to see many useful information directly, but with some tricks you can:
    a. Ammo info. Why I can not directly see the ammo amount, but switching to knife and swtich back can see? It should be either implement RO/RS/ARMA… style of hold R to check ammo. Or directly shown.
    b. Friendlies location. I thought the game goes to RO1 style. No real time friendlies shown on minimap, but only aiming can give some friendlies indicators. But, it goes: As long as you use M to see minimap, you know where they are. Either completely cancelled real time friendlies indicator on minimap or bring the minimap back to left bottom corner.
    c. No killfeed. But still real time record on scoreboard. As long as you keep use TAB to see scoreboard, you know whether you killed him or not. Please use RO2’s settings: Keep killfeed on right top, but WITH A DELAY!
  3. Interactive stuffs. It’s stupid not showing doors/weapons on grounds/plane resupply point on screen, but they are still there. But you now dont know whether you are able to interact or not. Bring the hint back.
  4. Important! I am pretty shocked by they also cancelled who you were killed by! This can cause many hackers easily hack here! Even RO1/2 or ARMA has a instant feedback of who killed you. In RO2, distance info is alse provided. Just cancelled the killcam, but keep the killfeed on top right!
  5. WTF you also cancelled both typing chat and quick chats? OMG, a realism style of game is feature with more cooperation and communication!!! You should do more to help players communicate more easily in hardcore mode! Consider 3D VOIP! See RS2/ARMA3!

BTW, no forgiving system for TK.

Plus, gaijin, if you don’t want the lonefighter mode to divert players, just fcking shut it down and tell us. No need to make it torturing like this piece of sh1te.

So they really made that option to disable all UI from options (that was perfect for making screenshots, but not for really playing) mandatory?

Damage control at its finest.
And again LF will suffer even more because there is not much real thought put into its development.

i thought lone fight you have to fight players but instead its squads minus the players controlling bots.

One more thing, no matter you guys admit it or not, the teammate AI in squad is just stupid and always harvested by enemy human players, so I play lonefighter to get some “pure” PVP experience even though there are still some noticeable bot players. Gaijin you now just fvcking ruined this mode and make a piece of horsesh1t that can’t be played by mentally healthy people.

They make it way harder to get points with all this stuff but they dont increase the rewards… they also didnt change the unbalanced amount of bots on each team ( a team with 15 and other with 5, ie), I dont understand what they are trying to do with this mode but I dont think many people will play it since you get less than half points compared to squad mode and sometimes the games are really unbalanced having a team full of bots, specially at low pop timer

I just got teamkilled by tank then soon by kicked for closed air strike. Not deliberate teamkill, I aimed at enemy tanks.
And I also cannot find the resupply point until I flew way far from the battlezone then I can finally see it on minimap.
Basically you are preventing any players from playing vehicles because any AOE attack can have the chance to kill teammates by accident.

Yes, you now dont know how many air you left! You can be drown at any time!

The teamkill damaged should really be removed from lonefighter mode. If you want it to be a real hardcore mode, then make it a separate mode like in War Thunder. Just keep the lonefighter mode the way it was.

Agree. If there has to be a hardcore mode, then make it a standalone one like SB in WT, with totally realistic weapon stats.
Now that you make the MG42 900 RPM and you are telling me it is hardcore? What a bad joke.

I never ever post in forums. This is probably the first time I have ever posted in a forum for any game.
Today, I have to.

Enlisted Lone Fighters mode is the only game I’ve been playing. I’ve put probably 200 hours into it and I am almost finished the German campaign on Moscow (I think I’m level 23, with no premium account, just grind)
This is my number one game right now, and now it is ruined, and I hope that Gaijin fixes it, and QUICKLY.

I was, at first, somewhat excited to hear that Lone Fighter mode was getting some changes to add to the realism, but what we got today has been total chaos. You can no longer see capture points unless you open your map, but it’s not a good map like the respawn map, it’s more of a vague chart.
Oh, now there is not only no hit markers, but it doesnt tell you if you killed the enemy you’re shooting at, so you have to constantly hit TAB to check the scoreboard to see if you actually got the kill or if the guy you shot is going to revive himself and kill you.
Do you like using airplanes? I sure do. Theres nothing I enjoy more than flying the Messershchmitt and taking out tanks and grouped up infantry. Now, you can no longer locate the reload point for the planes. You drop your bombs, and then theres basically nothing to do but try and maybe find another plane to fight, which isnt really the point of a bomber. If you are a new player, how the hell would you ever find the reload point? I’ve been playing for hundreds of hours and I couldn’t find the reload point.
The lack of display of the objective is making the game nearly unplayable for the attacking side as well. There is no indication of the progress of capturing the control point, there is no indication as to whether or not it has even been captured unless you open the shitty chart map.
In short, some things that NEED TO BE CHANGED:

-HIT MARKERS, OR AT VERY LEAST NOTIFCATION THAT YOU HAVE KILLED THE ENEMY.
JUST RETURN IT TO HOW IT WAS.
-SOME ON SCREEN INDICATION OF WHERE THE RELOAD POINTS ARE FOR PLANES
-SOME ON SCREEN INDICATION OF WHERE THE OBJECTIVE IS AND THE STATUS OF SAID OBJECTIVE

Ideally, this hardcore mode should be a separate mode… Lone Fighters did need some adjustment, but this has absolutely destroyed my favorite game and made it totally unenjoyable.
I like hard games, but this isn’t hard, it’s just broken. It’s not a game anymore, now it’s just a bunch of people shooting at eachother, teamkilling en masse, and the objectives may as well not exist.

GAIJIN, PLEASE FIX IT OR RESTORE IT TO HOW IT WAS.

I sympathize with you entirely. I can’t help repeating “me too” for all those contexts you have described that apply the same to me.

They can’t as there was only a few people playing LF and they can’t split playerbase even more

I don´t really know how the community wants it. In my opinion I don´t like the new update at all in Lone fighter. Making a game realistic just isn´t possible if you want to have fun.
Sure you can make it realistic, but you need to balance it with the mind that it is a game.
One game I got team killed around 10 times.
In one conquest game I throwed a grenade in to an “C” building and killed 3 team mates. I checked the map and saw that the enemy were capturing it. So I thought that it were only enemies in the building. Wow now im minus 200 exp…
And satisfaction when you get the marker when you shoot someone from long range without a scope is now gone.
Yeah I don´t know. If this is the way lone fighter is going to be? Then im sorry Gaijin. I liked the game very much and like it. But this isn´t for me.

Lone fighters should have never been added.

I don´t agree. I really like that mode. I think that they would have a smaller player base if they only had squads mode. But yeah most of the people seems to enjoy squads mode more.

I play both LF and squads and wish to have a working LF mode as it is less frantic, yet more adrenaline-filled in certain cases. I don’t need to get hardcore removed, but its pre-alpha state is not welcomed, I hope they’ll work on it.

As mediocre non-sniper infantry I had no problem with the missing hit markers, but TAB still reveals the info which is a strange info leak. :slight_smile: The delayed kill feed is an interesting concept.

I followed the masses and got there, but for a plane that should be an issue.Unless they fix the aerial rendering and provide us pilots who can see further than 1 km, I think planes should have back their markers. In reality they got their orders from ground, so removing team chat and also the marker makes it an awful setup.

My biggest new issue was that I felt teamkill will be poorly implemented and I think I was right, and biggest old issue is the amount and behaviour of bots in some games.

Harcore mode wasn’t a bad idea and I thought it would be a good fit for Lone Fighter. Friendly Fire especially appealed to me (no more explosives spam, without first looking, what you’re going to hit) I’ve never played Lone Fighter much, so what do I know… Well, I couldn’t have known how far the devs would go with the UI removal…

Getting rid of all of the UI for “realism” is a hare-brained idea. There’s a good reason why shooters have a HUD, and that is because the level of interaction with the gameworld is inherently very limited compared to the real world. Field of view is much lower, game controls don’t allow natural movements like turning the head, can’t yell at people etc. etc. etc. The HUD is there to compensate for that.
Of course some stuff goes beyond what is necessary and it is fine to lose stuff like the minimap and hitmarkers and such.

And now… I can’t even list everything, that’s wrong. It would take too long. I’ll just throw out a thing, that nobody has mentioned yet. Flying a plane, I can’t even see how fast I’m going wihtout the HUD. The instruments don’t seem to change when I accelerate.
Oohhhhh… When I use freelook and crank my neck downwards I can see the movement of the throttle lever… How convenient.

It seems Hardcore mode was either rushed or they didn’t put any thought into it. Either way, I now consider LF mode broken.
