I was shocked to see this game going this way. A bit weird, and a bit familar.
As a RO1/2/RS2/Verdun “veteran” and played some hours of DOI, PS and HLL. emmm. This news really excite me.
IMO, the RO2 is still the best game of balancing realism and fun
But I have to some suggestions to devs:
You sure can make kill confirm harder. But for some kind of gameplay, like RO2. You can actually set the killfeed with a delay! Like after 10~30s then you can see your kill info.
For friendly fire, please make friendly fire kill info instant show up. Also, you should add a system of “forgive option”. If the player forgive you, like in RO2, type NP, than you wont get punishment or kick!
For UI: This game has stepped over RO2, direct to RO1, a much hardcore game than RO2. In RO1, we dont get any friendlies location on call up map, and only a compass is shown on the corner.
Please make player be familar with the maps’ locations. Currently, no one cares what place are called. And remain the markers from CRSED for a better communication. If want to be more advanced. Use a grid/coordinate on call up map.
To prevent hackers, please remain kill camera. Or able to check later. Or at least show distance. I just find a new, more useful hacks than I have known and reported. I will PM devs later.
“massive battles”. So, can we get a 32v32 match? Also, It’s time to consider a “TeamLeader”/“Sqaud Leader” role!!! BTW, really pointless to remove small maps. Small maps is very OK for represent real life’s CQB.
Please improve cooperation! Most hardcore game needs strong coordinate. RO2 is the top level of game dosnt force to use mic. While PS/HLL level, you have to use mic. Please implement more quick chat/command options. Including warning friendlies enemies, and its locations. etc. Just go play some games and copy its fast chats.
Other thoughts:
If game goes real hardcore. The OP roles, weapons, will be real OP and will be overused by players. In RO2, we get strict limitations on who and when can call artillerys. How many players can use snipers and LMGs.
In worst case, this game can full of snipers, mortars, Fixed MGs. So there have to be some limitations to be introduced.
if you read well it remains as but with some barely visible improvement they don’t even know what to do with lon wolf and I don’t know why they did this there is nothing that tempts someone to play it because it is also always full of bots and I doubt that they will introduce what you said and that I approve of the fact and that even they don’t know whether to get enlisted a bad copy of battlefield or RO2
And planes friendly fire? with no cordination a player wo miss the attack is able to decimate the entire squad i don think 20 people forgive him for this
For squad i intend the entire team if a player with plane hit a cp with half of player of his team there im sure they kick him for tk even him only miss for cordination lack
In RO theres no usable plane in RO his commander fault for wrong cordinate for artillery or bombing run in enlisted are the player wo need cordinate each other if a plane guy says “need cordinate” and on land give him worng cordinate and tk half of team of wo is the fault?
Close air support involves a serious chance of friendly fire. This was very true during wwii and its even the case today with modern communication and GPS.
If it’s a Hardcore mode you have to decide if your bombing run is worth the risk. You are the one dropping the bombs, you get the score, its your responsibility to deal with the repercussions.
It is a game, games are defined by a set of rules. They just made a rule in this game that friendly fire is dangerous. Pilots, radio men, mortar squads and everyone else is going to have to be much more careful where they point their weapons.
I’m all for some kind of forgiveness system, or making targets with smoke. Can you see smoke from the air? I can say I’ve looked that hard when I’ve tried flying.
