Score requirement for vehicles

I really dislike the WW1 event, but there are some interesting ideas in it.

One of these ideas is spawning more powerful squads with your total score.

I find this idea very interesting. However, this mechanic was not implemented properly.

Why? Because some people want to be able to use engineers, machine gunners, or assaulters without having to kill people with other classes first.

I think a good compromise is to allow the player to spawn any infantry squad of their choice, while vehicles should cost points.

People who like playing vehicles may object, but they have no reason to.

Why this is a good change for vehicle mains as well:

You may not be able to get into a tank or plane directly, but neither will your enemies. And once in a tank or plane , enemies who are not as experienced in vehicles will die fast.

For tankers : Enemy tankers will be fewer, so your duel will have a greater impact. If you are able to kill your opponent, you may be safe for a long time after, allowing you to focus on infantry. Also the kamikaze plane tactic will no longer be common.

For pilots: Outmanouvering enemy pilots will be more important than ever. If you are used to keep track of enemy planes, the reward will be air supremacy for your team.

For infantry: Matches will feel more active than ever before, because more people will be infantry. This will allow different approaches to be more efficient, like mg emplacements , since the threat of a vehicle will not be as great.

In order to keep things fair , AA guns and AT guns should also cost points.

Should the privilege of spawning a powerful vehicle be tied to how efficient you are as infantry?

Should vehicles cost points?

Duplicate of another suggestion:

I mean, if you’ve bought a vehicle premium and you’re too bad to get enough score to use it, it’s gonna be hell

Yeah, but after 30 days pass you can revisit a suggestion. That one’s a necropost, basically

Not for suggestions, they have their own rules.

I am 90% sure you can revisit dead topics after 30 days, but I cannot remember where I’ve been told so.

think that euthymia said something similar in one of body armor topics.

Let me just say that, there is a reason why suggestions display the topic with the most recent activity now.

That’s not the case for any other group of topics.

Perhaps you are remembering to the old system/rules…? Or the rules for other topics in general…?

I’d ask a helper to resolve this once and for all, but I don’t know how. Maybe you could lend a hand?

Well then, fair enough.

But that’s in the context of “forwarded/expected changes”, I doubt the devs would need reminding of a topic that most people disagreed with…?

There’s nothing new here, and the arguments have already been presented on the previous topic, I would have thought that the point of the rule was to centralize feedback in one topic, to ease the process of helpers acquiring said feedback…?

well people change and maybe after few months you have new playerbase who look at things differently. or maybe the suggestion is better than previous one.

btw forum mods hate necros more than duplicate topics after few months…

I will say though, this suggestion does have a public poll, which is way more useful, since the last one had a very strange spike at a certain point where it was flooded with numourous “yes” votes in a span of a couple of minutes, radically skewing the result to be overwhelmingly in favour before evening out in the end (settling on overal negative, as had been before that spike)…

Highly suspicious, to say the least, so a public one is an improvement.

Thats on the player then.

Before you want to start limiting tank you really have to start buffing tanks (like a lot…)

Most tanks just die the moment you look at them funny.
With the exeption of maybe 4 tanks or so all tanks get easierly front pened by infantry AT from the earlier BR even.
Having tanks as something you grind towards only works if they are threatening and powerfull.

But as it stands 80% of the maps just suck for tanks and force you into CQC or you will not be able to meaningfully hit anything (as a result of the ongoing crusade against tanker).
Pretty much every rework of a map just made tanks sightlines much worse and it is just a matter of time until the last true power positions for tanks have been ruined by added foiliage / sudden tree growth just because infantry mains complained that they died…

The current system kinda is balanced around the idea that tanks are expendable and easierly trampled by infantry.

What are you talking about?
So today he can sometimes get in his favourite vehice, tommorow you’re gonna mercilesly take it from him?

“Skill Issue” is not a valid counter when you paid £30 for it. The game serves everyone, casuals included.

Reasonably speaking, you should be within your rights to use it as you then please, you bought it, it’s yours.

If a player buys a prem vehicle but is too bad to get the score to use it, he should simply get better.

skill issue that you did not forsee that such a radical change would be made a year later? Great logic here…

Tanks should be nerfed if anything XD. Absolutely schizo to even mention vehicle needing buffs.
