Please stop duplicating the same weapon, adding or removing a single letter from the name just to make it non-transferable.
You’re fooling nobody, everyone knows what you’re doing and it’s one of the most infuriating features in this game.
It’s like you’re trying to bypass your own transfer feature. Giving the impression that the player’s progression can actually carry-over, but in reality it’s just facade.

the kar98 in normandy is not the same as kar98 in moscow or berlin, as it has 0 starting stars and is considered as another weapon
No no no, the mechanics of the firearm is completely different, there’s a pointy metal thing attached to it that poke at stuff… So it should mean the weapon is fundamentally different! And don’t you DARE remove the pointy stabby thing, it would NEVER make the weapon identical, it’s absolutely impossible!
Please buy the same weapon again for the low cost of 1 silver or gold! Please buy gold.

But there is also two m1s in both campaigns, they are m1c and m1g
M1 Thompson, M1 Carbine, M1 Garand, M1C garand…I believe all the M1s present in both campaigns can be transferred though
it’s funny because i cannot transfer my panzerfaust from berlin to normandy ( or the other way around ) nor K89s across all campaigns because they have different stars…

not that because you can transfer MG34, sten, and m1 garand from normandy to berlin/tunisia and those have different stars
does it really take that much of a difference to perhaps reduce or actually even just conver it?
coding? maybe but i’m not experienced in coding but the most likely explanation is that they don’t want you to transfer the starting rifle to other campaigns, since you can’t transfer the m1903 from normandy to tunisia

but then don’t say that you will be able to carry over weapons that you own, if you can’t even do that
