RSC rifle variants for both Germany and Allies

I just found that the RSC 1917 is already noted as Allies weapons, but there would be an issue. The barrel is extremely long(800mm), which would make Allies get another high-damage semi-automatic rifles. Since they already have the Kretz P13, Turner SMLE, and Farquhar-Hill rifle, adding another semiauto rifle with high damage would not be necessary.

As a solution, the RSC 1917 should be added as German weapons, in this case German will finally get their first high-damage semi-automatic rifle, because during WW2 German did captured both RSC1917 and 1918 and designated as the Sl.G 310(f), which is mentioned in the bottom of this page.

Note: There are also French semi-automatic rifles of the same type with a barrel length of 800 mm, designated M.A.S. MLE 1917.

As for the Allies, they could received the RSC 1918, which is more rare than the 1917. Because only 4000 were manufactured compared to the 1917(over 80000), the main difference is the barrel is shorter(580mm), and has better accuracy which give it a smaller shots deviation. The main disadvantage is the 1918 has higher recoil due to it’s light weight compare to the 1917.

Here’s the pros and cons between the RSC 1917 and the 1918

RSC 1917

  • Higher damage(over 16)
  • Lower recoil but has more shots deviation
  • Better for close range combat

RSC1918

  • Average damage(14-15)
  • Higher recoil but has smaller shots deviation
  • Better for long-range engagement

In conclusion, give different variants of the RSC rifles for both German and Allies would be the fairest solution.
