Just finished a game as Soviets on Ministry Garden (Invasion) as attackers, and I have to hand it to the Axis team, y’alls defense of the second point (whatever that building is) was something to see. Sure, there was some skilled fighting, but literally every entrance to the point was blocked by sandbags, barbed wire, tank traps or (destroyed) AAA guns. A dozen or more destroyed AAA guns blocking the entrances. Guys building machine gun nests in most of the windows on the third floor. Tanks outside doing good work.
I have no idea how y’all managed to build ALL OF THAT while we were still taking the first point, or how you managed to build so much at all, but damn was that a thing. Wish I could have gotten screengrabs, but I was too busy being dead.
Well looks like one of those rare teams where everyone has their engineer squad and they know what they’re doing. Had that only three times in Normandy. Was fun.
Oh, we tried. Every flank was met by armor, bombs, or machinegun fire from windows, and all the barbed wire meant that you’d hear us trying to get through the snarl of obstacles at every entrance we could get to. Hell of a defense.
yeah, that ridiculousness. Every door, every window, and if they weren’t stacked as much at one place that would be where the bullets came from. Iron defense XD
