I noticed that on MG 42 especially the one mounted on the Half track you can see the entire weapon glow hot, when infact you should see the barrel. And secondly why does it overheat so quick, i haven’t even shot much out of it. The MG 42 that comes at bunkers or defesnse positions runs much better than the one on the vehicle or feild. You should be able to run a confident cycle through it. Also please check other MGs on German tech tree, the barrrel should glow not the entire weapon.

IMO, if the weapon has a magazine, then the overheat mechanic should not be applied (or at least be significantly toned down).
Allied tank MGs are just way better because they can fire for quite a while without worry, which lets them guide their shots during their bursts, while German tank MGs require you to be accurate to be as effective, and continually shoot in short bursts.
Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy doing things that are more difficult (Nr1 60kg Japanese bombs enjoyer, bane of Shermans), but when the name of the game of MGs is literally sustained fire, Allied MGs are obviously way better than German ones in this regard.
In the best of worlds, MG and HMG nests should have to be reload and use ammunition too.

MG-34 is too sensitive and cooks itself too fast, makes no sense. unless you’re deliberatly trying to sabotage the weapon’s properties.
