the jumbo is a good tank but has created so much unbalancment that the best solution is really remove it.
all US tanks dont have dcent ammunition (imo its jumbo’s fault), the added the panther to balance things out but for not adding another “OP” thing to the americans they added a shitty TD, the sherman is basically useless is just a worse jumbo.
imo panther, jumbo and m10 should be “reworked”

I don’t want tanks without a turret instead of a panther. It’s useless in Berlin. Obviously it’s not an equivalent exchange at all.

I kind of think the Jagdpanther is unnecessary, pretty clearly explained why.
Regarding the panther: I see no reason why legendary and famous tanks shouldn’t be in the game, the US has long gun Shermans and m18 that can stand up to the panther and tiger. Infantry can easily kill any tank with an explosive blast.
I am against monsters like the KT or IS-2 (although they will be in Berlin), but the Panther, Tiger, and long-barreled Sherman are the top line I want to see.

Well, in any case, the selection of players by level is necessary.
The gray area is only a problem on a few individual maps, these details can be tweaked (as well as the infantry getting better grenade launchers, like the panzershrek or m9 bazooka)
Not quite the Jagdpanther uses a PAK cannon, instead of a KwK which makes the punch more devastating.

If people aim for the MG Cupola the jumbo should be sufficient.
It´s a Panther without a turret limiting it´s viability againt infantry and flanks by a lot.
You could pen it from the side wich is 50mm at a slight angle. And since it doesn´t have a turret it´s much easier to flank too.
Depends entierly on if the devs are making the game with a matchmaking system in mind or they just retroactively put it on top.

Honestly they shouldn’t introduce these late war tanks to Normandy. D-day wasn’t famous about tank battles. Regular m4 Sherman with m61 apcbc and Panzer 4 H would be enough.
These late war vehicles could be used for a campaing like Battle of the Bulge.
Altough they wont change anything imo.
You do that at the cost of mobility, reaction time against flanks, and effectivness against Infantry. If a Jagdpanther is sitting in the greyzone you can use CAS against him. Even a P-38 should be able to hit such a big static target.
No they´re gonna suck too much, best thing I could settle for is the Jagdpanzer IV wich Berlin just got. A fixed turret tank destroyer will just get torn apart I fail to see how you can´t see that. The Stug would´ve been a good early campaign vehicle but it´s just not good for late tier.
I think you overestimate the effectiveness of the Jagdpanther in the first place. This isn´t War Thunder with open plains as maps. The Jagdpanther isn´t gonna excell on every map all the time. If there´s a Jagdpanzer on the map and you have an M8 you gottta take the L and do something else. I´m not bitching at the existance of a P-51 when I´m flying a Ju-88 afterall. That part of the reason why those things where made.
Ju-88, A-20 and P-47 are all still obliterating Infantry. If anything those things should be reworked aswell. They add to the bad rep Normandy gets probably more than the Jumbo and Panther ever did.
Not that it matters because the jumbo uses m72 that doesn’t shrapnel
