reminds me of the Anti BA buff whiners that had the same idea of running with BAs in order to somehow and somewhat prove a point and hoping for a nerf to it.

Wow that´s kinda stupid ngl. Barely anyone even uses premium tank squads from what I see.

I don´t see how that can´t be done as part of the WP tweak. decreased radius of the WP cloud and increased objective areas would help. In the perfect world we would fight over whole farms rather than just a barn or some shit like that. Would make defending a lot easier and more engaging too.

Anyway I´m confident that something will be done about them. Afterall they did tweak the bomber call in, where I thought they where too good and you said “nah is fine”. I remembered that one, next to the one where I thought adding a Jagdpanther was based while you said the opposite (they added it to Berlin and not Normandy like I wanted but that´s still half a W, a V one might say)

Lvl 20+ on both sides in Pacific and I have yet to see a match that’s decided by WP spam only.

If you want to do an experiement… throw a WP grenade into the middle of a friendly squad, and see what happens.

Like I said, they can do whatever as long as something is done I don´t care.

I have the best interest of the playerbase at heart, wich I am a part of. Afterall this is a team game, this isn´t TDM in CoD. What hurts me hurts my teammates aswell. I guess you just carry every game and don´t even need any help huh?

LMGs where pretty much assault rifles so that was atleast warranted.
I for one liked the Semi auto meta but don´t really care either way. Atleast they buffed them later a bit.

Just a throwaway bit at the end like a “haha they did it anyway” kind of thing. You could even say it was a light hearted joke.

it wouldnt be that big of a deal if they were limited per squad, but…

I think one way to control them would be limit per squad (one or two per squad) or control them like artillery. 1 minute cool down or something.

I’ve certainly seen some matches completely dictated by WP spam. It’s not the biggest problem with the game but I don’t think they were a great addition.

Mostly run into phosphorous spam in Tunisia oddly enough

I beg to differ, I get killed through walls by all of these quite a bit.

  • Flame can often affect both sides of the wall if its thin.
  • Tanks HE can catch people around corners AND the AP shells can penetrate walls.
  • Airplane guns can still penetrate many rooftops.
  • Artillery is glichy and sometimes hits me even when im in cover.

2 part solution:

  1. Make it so the gas cannot pass through walls. This includes the floors and roofs, as well as sandbag walls.
  2. Buff Sandbag walls to not be destroyed by almost every type of explosion and HMG fire.
    Large caliber tank shells, TNT (mines), and close proximity hits with aircraft bombs are the only things that should break them. Remove the ability for enemy to deconstruct.

If that is implemented, then they have to actually land the WP inside of the fortifications to do anything, rather than just coating the area.

You can shoot at the ground behind a corner so that´s normal. AP going through walls is news to me. Anyway it´s just AP so it´s not exactly game changing.

Only autocannons can and even then I could only get it to work on Moscow. Again not exactly a weapon you could clear objectives effectively.

I think that might be the shrapnel. Bombs and Artillery cause shrapnel so maybe it richochet or something? I don´t know how that works.

Try saying that again when you account for narrow hallways with thin walls. When an AP shell hits an infantry, it detonates with nearly the same blast radius as an HE shell. Meaning you can punch through the wall and if you hit someone, it kills them and the other 10 guys crowding that hallway…

I’m guessing you don’t play a lot of Pacific? The bombs from the planes are mediocre at best, but with how a lot of people crowd the objectives, especially narrow hallways with thin roofs, you can do a pass with the planes and get 5-8 kills with relative ease.

These coupled with white phosphorus grenades can keep enemies cleared off an objective pretty well.

AP causes shrapnel when hitting Infantry? That sounds like a bug. That definetly shouldn´t be happening. I guess this is a Moscow and Pacific meta with all those small wooden buildings?

Yeah I stopped playing it months ago. Exactly because the maps are such a miserable experience for me. But I´ve never had bombs killing me through building. Outside of the destructable huts and standing in a way where shrapnel killed me.

Even outside of those campaigns. You have to remember that the larger the shell, the more penetration it has. I’ve had issues even on Normandy and Tunisia with it. A large enough shell can punch through brick even. Not uncommon to get popped through a sandbag wall too by them, in ALL campaigns.

I’m curious, in this encounter, were the grenades thrown at random? Did they get a bunch of kills through walls and roofs?

Did you make a bug report for all the stuff you told me? It would be interesting to know what is a bug and what not. AP going through sandbags makes sense but some of the other stuff is a bit weird.

White phosphorus fume can cause severe eye irritation with blepharospasm, photophobia, and lacrimation. Irritation of the eyes and irritation of the mucous membranes are the most commonly seen injuries. These complaints remit spontaneously with the soldier’s removal from the exposure site. The WP smoke irritates the eyes and nose in moderate concentrations. With intense exposures, a very explosive cough may occur, which renders gas mask adjustment difficult. There are no reported deaths resulting from exposure to phosphorus smokes.

Looks like that the white phosphorus fumes we have are basically like nerve agents in comparison to the real deal.

Maybe it needs to be tuned to non-lethal, it should just knock you down at best.
