That’s barrel length the game changes the dmg of weapons based off of barrel length
Compare it to the Moschetto M91
thats not strange at all, a longer barrel means more velocity means the bullet hits harder
you’re comparing a full sized ww1 rifle to a small carbine

To be fair, Scoped STGs and Scoped FGs are also fake guns - non ever saw combat.
That nightvision Vampir scoped STG was field tested tho I believe.

Generally speaking yes - but bullet shape and material also matters greatly.
If you shoot a hard core projectile with super fast velocity - you can create overpenetration, meaning the majority of the bullets energy just leaves the target and continues travelling.
So it is technically possible to have a gun deal less damage when adding velocity.
Not that it matters in your example, because those Carcanos did use old school round tip WW1 projectiles.

Well tested on a testing range is apparently different to tested in the field, but yes.
Also gives reason to think - Vapir night vision is more realistic than scoped FG and STG → yet adding it would hurt the overall WW2 feeling of the game more than scoped STGs and FG.
I guess we are so used to scoped STGs and such from other games that people dont mind.

However, those two guns did have this plan during that period, and the so-called sniper Carcano M38 in the game did not have this condition

I just noticed that the optics in this Beretta Mod.39 look the same as in this rifle but I don’t remember the name of the gun
edit: the rifle should be an Austrian Mannlicher-Schönauer carbine model 1903 in 6.5x54 Mannlicher caliber

Kinda strange how things don’t exist outside of combat, I didn’t know there were wizards who just conjured military equipment from thin air before a battle.

I want the carcano scope for sniper back to the awesome range it once had! My god , that scope could snipe a mosquito it was so strong, could snipe spawn points and tag spawns at 150 plus clicks then it got nerded to the range of the scoped kar98… wonder why!! Unfair advantage no doubt.
