Even so, I think it impossible that there weren’t others PPSH 41s with silencers that we’ll never find documents, but now it doesn’t matter, it’s Premium and will never be removed.
To play devil’s advocate, campaign tech tree weapons have been removed on 2 occasions: Stalingrad exclusive weapons, A20 with M8 rockets (was later added back). But in both cases the weapons remained in players inventories.
The real question is who says it’s real? The only “proof” of it is from the memories of some researchers and from a photo with dubious origins (there is no source for that image). We have no stats on the weapon, no documents of it and no real examples ever discovered.
Nobody said it’s fake and nobody said it’s real so we don’t know anything about it, but as I said it doesn’t matter, it’s in a Premium squad so it will never be removed.
If we don’t know if it’s real or fake then the Devs should have avoided it. The Devs will ignore weapon suggestions with not enough data and they should hold themselves to the same standard.
He’s suggesting removing the m2 sawoff from the tech tree isn’t that the same? I don’t think he said anywhere he wants it to be taken from players inventories, so in a way he really wants it to be made exclusive to everyone who got it in time.
