That’s why cuirasses remain with us for a very, very long time.
Are you sure tho? I dont know about the main plate, but those side view ports have 80mm thickness and shouldn’t be more angled than Panther main plate - which to be fair can also bounce IS2 shots sometimes at range.
True - but capacity matters also somewhat
It’s still not a cuirass
You know, personally i am more annoyed that it stopps semi auto rounds than SMG rounds, which can also be fixed by simply giving effected Semis 15.3 damage.
But even then - all the devs have to do is to give a reason not pick those plates.
10% global run speed penalty for example.
But nothing what so ever has happened yet - thats the really annoying thing
Yo! What! The hei auto is like the best SF in game lol!
Yes - but armor stops it
Sounds like you’re describing the germans
No it doesn’t. It’s a two shot kill always. With it’s high rof and non existent recoil this isn’t a problem at all.
Kind of, except the reason why this sht remains is the blatant soviet bias.
Doesn’t it deal 13.5 dmg?
It deal 13.9 if full upgraded.
I advocated (or still advocate) for:
- US high tier AT launcher
- US heavy tank to be able to challenge the KT
- Japan high gier AT launcher
- T-44-100
- Removal of body armor
- Meteor nerfs
- Damage changes to ARs as to not make Scotti and Fedorov the only 1 shot weapons (and soon I’ll be making more content on what could be added for US and Japan if the devs won’t change anything)
- Buffs to G41
- Adjusting German and Soviet planes in BR3-5 to be more viable and actually have a bombload
- Buffing bombload on BR2 US planes
- Giving Japan high tier attackers (and nerfing Kikka once it’s done)
You must’ve not been paying attention
… I don’t think 30% of people disagreeing with me is the gotcha you were looking for… Not to mention majority of the people disagreeing have given me reasoning of ‘would be weird to have steel plate do nothing’ to rambling about it being a "non issue’ and that one should ‘overcome this’. I am yet to see a good balancing reason for it to stay
And Soviets have LAD with much better dispersion but an argument can be made about higher RoF accommodating for that
It still relatively insignificant because both of those guns are completely outclassed by ARs anyway and Soviets have access to TT Fedorov Avtomat
I have an entire spreadsheet and a 15 minute YouTube video dedicated to exactly that
Then it shouldn’t be a problem for the damage reduction to be removed right? If 2 players of similar skill meet then the fight won’t be tipped to one side because of a cosmetic right?
That’s blatantly untrue?
Is2 can….
Nah, I think this is kind of same as bodyarmor, not much of issue.
Enemy didnt die to first shot ? No problem just shoot again.
Really, I dont even notice this kind of disparity its so minimal ![]()
Mostly.
Well I just checked warthunder, IS2 has just barely above 200 pen, so well I dont know about how that translates into Enlisted, to me it seems armor is a bit stronger in general than on paper so I guess IS2 will only penetrate it in very close range - unless the devs make Ferdinant armor a bit weaker, considering that it could have more or less weak late war armor quality, also double plates were known to have a bit less strength than one solid plate.
In other words, Soviets need some TT 100mm tank.
certain armor types have armor mutipliers. Youd have to check in enlisted armor viewer. Also range matter very little on IS-2 (205mm pen at 10m, 203mm pen at 100m), greater issue is angling (which is probably what makes you think that armor is more effective in game than on paper)
