I don’t deny that it doesn’t affect gameplay i really just do not care that i see people with it and that it DOES have a minor effect in certain gunfights.
I use it and do not care when others do… so that’s probably why.
You’re not losing games or consistent gunfights because of body armor and to act like anyone is is disingenuous.

Anyways again i don’t believe body armor will even be an option in manchuria customization for soviets, it had a specific function of door to door fighting in dense european urban settings, afaik soviets didn’t use body armors in manchuria, it only restricts movement etc

The least they could do is create a seperate customisation for this new campain in which Soviets don’t get the armour. Then it is at least not an issue for Jap V Soviet.

Just saying that body-armour has an effect (haven’t even done that actually, it’s implied though, and I don’t deny the that statement), that is enough for you to cry “you’re overblowing things”, that’s far from a honest approach of the topic.

It’s cultural.
Those coming from the other forum are absolutely convinced there’s only two sides: glorious Soviets & those not playing glorious Soviets.
For example, I thought my pfp was rather clear about me being a Commonwealth main (who likes beer, chicken and good company)… And clearly not an axis one.
But again to them, “not soviet = axis”.

My approach, rather than making actual thick steel plates have no damage reduction either remove them altogether, rework them or add alternatives so the constant whining stops

You sent a wikipedia article… there is no argument, body armor isn’t getting worse you just choose to obsess over it as i’ve repeated.

Although because of that you’re using that as a spearhead for this campaign that roots down to looking for an excuse why you are losing gunfights.

If devs want those (armours) to remain, then let them make it a true feature, that is clearly defined in game with what it does, with not just pros, but cons (like what you suggested)

Hahaha… that’s the problem… body armor doesn’t guarantee winning a gunfight dude.
Like i said skill issue… simple cut the pie and shoot them before they get the first two shots so your first shot makes up for their armor
