The Sp-42 armor was only capable of stopping a 9mm round at very close range. So if you think about it, it basically does nothing.
Also, one could argue that it doesn’t make sense to give one faction a “secret” buff just because a cosmetic item exists.
Look at other games
Fortnite, for example.
They have many cosmetics in that game, last I checked, they didn’t give any sort of benefits for using them

Can you guess why Scotti is much better than StG? Can you guess why people are choosing Scotti over MkB 42(W)? Or why people prefer AVT40(20) over RD-44? For someone who talks about ‘skill issues’ its really not that hard to understand why 1 shot is extremely important in Enlisted

All due respect but you have brought NOTHING to this conversation. All you did was say ‘oh it doesnt matter THAT much’ and everyone else just said that ‘THAT much’ is still TOO MUCH because that just unfair advanatage on a nation that has one of the best infantry weaponry in the game

Cosmetics should be cosmetic only, no effect on gameplay

Body armor should not be available for Moscow/Stalingrad/Rzhev, only for Berlin and Manchuria, because it got any sort of widespread use only from late 1943.
Isn’t it covenient how one out of four factions gets
- damage reduction cosmetic
- flexible weapons paratroopers
- completely made up BR5 equipment with a legal 1946 jet

Yes - most gunfights in enlisted are decided by who shoots first
Yes - there are factors like ping, hit reg etc that can influence TTKs heavily
Thing is the game isn’t programmed to have 30% chance to not register a hit when playing the Germany - as it would be totally ridicolous… just like the body armor affecting ‘3/10 gunfights’
This argument is pure whataboutism that only shows ones inability to comprehend the core issue of the topic at hand, being ‘why do only Soviets get such an advantage at consistent rate’

Because only USSR employed body armor en masse
and again body armor wasnt even useful irl it couldnt stop even the smallest bullets
so it would have been better to jsut keep it as a cosmetic and thats it
