Remote Controlled Mines

Germany was the first country to mass produce and use remote controlled mines. An operator controlled the mine with a joystick and its cable had a range of about 2,130 feet. The Goliath Tracked Mine was used to destroy enemy fortifications, ambush soldiers, and destroy tanks and vehicles.

Remote controlled mines would be a new anti-tank gadget added to all faction’s arsenal. A player can pilot the mine where you will shift to its perspective and take control of it and drive it around and detonate it. You can use it against enemy soldiers, structures, and vehicles. The mine can be destroyed by enemies if they see it first or from all the explosions and chaos on the battlefield. Your human body is also vulnerable while you are controlling the mine.

Think of it like a modern drone or robot like one you may have seen and played in games like Battlefield

and make them only useable by engies, and only 1 per squad, so we can avoid issues of spam

You know at first I strongly disagreed with you, but I’ve been thinking a bit.

I actually could see these being a new type of “mine” since they were used for demolition as well.

I have thought that they should overhaul mines to only be used by Engineers so now not just everyone can carry them. But I don’t know how feasible that is.

That’s why I think it’s easier to make them an AT gadget; unless if they take away the mine slot from everyone.

Now that I completely disagree with. I don’t believe in the word spam. If players use them, then it is what it is. You get what you get.

Germany also had Borgward IV. Unlike goliath it was reusable since it didn’t blow itself up. Instead it dropped 450kg explosive charges on enemy lines and retreated. This vehicle was controlled from another tank (stug 3 usually). Tunisia campaign “strolch 2” panzer 3 skin was one of these control tanks that was used to test Borgward IV in desert conditions.

Me too! I have my own rules for immersion!

i clicked a yes vote, however, how effective were they? Are they so slow that they will rarely reach the target? if they were ineffective in the war, then they should be ineffective here. How long did it take to travel 2000 feet? how much gametime will it take to control it into designated area from a safe zone? If they are too slow then they wont be useful and just frustrate us all, including you. AND, of course, they shouldnt be faster than they actually were. we will wait for modern updates for better equipment. I like the old gear. this is what our ancestors used in the great war and second great war. Good stuff. 5 minutes to travel 180 metres? : / for not a lot of points…if it even reaches its target? : /

I have posted a suggestion. More points for building assist. my barb wire helps defence. and tank shells that hit hedgehogs should receive building assist too…30 points for each assist. building is time consuming and vital in defence and also sometimes in offence. More points…a LOT more. I like to engineer defence points and dont get as many points as i should…if there was a judge watching i would often get more points for ‘contribution to victory’. Engineers are overlooked in the game.

Why not??? +1
