Throwback Pump-Action Rifle: The Remington Model 14
At the outbreak of the First World War, few military aircraft were armed. As a result a variety of weapons were issued to airmen during the early part of the war. This American Remington pump-action rifle was one of 4000 purchased by the British Admiralty to address a shortage of service rifles, many of which had been transferred to the Army. The original intention was to equip various small naval craft, but a number of these rifles were passed to the Royal Naval Air Service as aircraft armament.

only known surviving example of a Royal Flying Corps Remington 14 1/2 rifle. 4,000 were purchased in the United States in April 1915 and β€˜issued to miscellaneous craft and the R.N.A.S.’ according to the Admiralty Technical History.

The Remington Model 14 is a pump-action repeating rifle designed for the Remington Arms company by John Pedersen. It is part of a series of rifles that include the Remington Model 14-1/2 and the Remington Model 141.

One of the few ump action rifles ever made and fewer accepted into military service. The rate of fire would be slower than a lever action but faster than a bolt action. It would allow the shooter to reload without loosing site picture but requires pumping after every shot.

There is as much proof of this gun being used in ww2 as many other ww1 weapons already in game. Of course not for the tech tree i would love to see this weapon as a battle pass, event or premium weapon perhaps with a UK squad. Its not a prototype weapon nor is it a civilian weapon making it a fun choice to add variety to the game. Repeating Rifle Magazines | RifleMagazine
