You have mentioned nothing about these two squads, which has resulted in people not being hyped up. Stir the pot by posting their Divisional or Regimental patch. That is all you have to do. If you picked out a good Division for these squads, then this will be backlash-free.

Lol those backlash are mainly come from Stalingrad access pack players that are unhappy with getting the squad 1 week after event ends.
TBH, most players don’t even care about what unit did the event squad belongs to, they only care about the effectiveness of the squad.
Regardless of who it is from, the majority of people would rather have a squad from a Division, Brigade, or Battalion with a famous resumé than a squad from a random Division, Brigade, or Battalion.
The Division, Brigade, or Battalion is a huge indicator of what weapons the squad is equipped with, so people should really start caring what Division, Brigade, or Battalion the squad comes from.
To be honest while I appreciate them giving us these strong squads for free I don’t like three things.
- The squads should have come with two unique ARs like what they did to with the AT-44 and the Grossfuss STG. Like the Korovin AK-45 and the Wimmerzperg SPZ for example. Make them bullpup Assault Engineers!
I personally think that is one of the major attractions of an ‘EVENT’ squad. - They should have come with more unique uniforms. For instance a different iteration of the Soviet leaf camo or the German pea dot camo (There is an unused one in the editor). While the Germans are getting the armoured helmet the entire set of lobster armour would have been more appropriate.
- They should have timed it with the Steam release to generate more hype.

No, they shouldn’t come up with some extremely ugly and bad looking weapons which would only block option to swap primary weapon.

Oh yeah. I forgot about that functionality. Then they should have basically done away with it. But I guess that’s their policy now. However, I preferred event squads having unique weapons. But that would make it unusable for people in low BR. What an Achilles Heel. Lol.

Nice. To be honest the achievements system in this game feels very bland. I appreciate them updating a lot of tasks yesterday. But why not take suggestions from us players and add some of these squads as unique unlockables for like 500 matches played or something. It is much better than having 1,000 silver I guess.

Soviet - 78th Separate Engineer Battalion, 29th Rifle Division (2nd formation) - Formed in Kazakhstan, mainly fought in Stalingrad. Was reformed on March 1, 1943 as 72nd Guards Rifle Division. Was transferred at the end of the 1980s to Ukraine and currently exists as active combat unit - 72nd Mechanized Brigade of Ukraine.
German - Pionier-Bataillon 157, 57. Infanterie-Division - formed in Landshut. Bavarians!

I hope not, I already have a German event squad with Horns.
They come with MkB 42, the same as in the tech tree. They can be swapped for any assault rifle, bolties and semi-auto rifle available for the Germans.
Same goes for the soviets, but they come with Fedorov
