Title, assaulter class weapons really shouldn’t be doing OHKO damage as that steps on the toes of machine gunners and auto-rifles, as such I vote to lower the damage to 9.9 when maxxed
I don’t think it’s necessary stop crying about it and get good
It fires rifle-ammo not intermediate cartirage thats why it does more damage than ARs you can see other example of this RD-44 fires SMG round that’s why it has 9.9 damage, less than any other LMG
I actively play USSR and abuse this weapon, there is nothing to get good about, it’s rather blatantly too powerful at current
It uses weak rifle cartridge, its damage should be close to a semi-automatic rifle.
Isnt 6.5x50mmSR Arisaka a full-on rifle ammo
Nerf the damage
or
Reduce its handling to BAR levels.
BAR’s got fantastic handling though
I believe he’s referring to the speed reduction and slower ADS the BARs and most LMGs suffer from
….ok so I know SMG’s are the Sovies’ “specialty” in this game, but that thing does more damage base than the M1 Carbine does max
….da frick? Darkflow, what is this bull? Man the M1 Carbine really is just anally raped in this game. Love having a “rifle carbine” that has the same TTK as a pistol chambered in 9mm, meanwhile the Russians get an “assault rifle” with apparently just a near full powered rifle cartridge in it. What did they just take a 7.62 and neck it down to a 6.5 with the same amount of propellant? Shoot even the Krauts got limited to 8.0 damage base (which, by the way, is .8 lower than the maxed M1 Carbine)
Shoot even .45 ACP competes with the M1 with 8.2 damage maxed out
You know, as much as I hate the FG, man this is just so much worse. And I don’t even play the Krauts to fight the dang thing! With a round that powerful sucker is a rifleman’s weapon through and through. Can’t tell me that thing’s an “intermediate” cartridge
I’m sorry, after some research I’ve discovered IT’S LITERALLY THE FULL POWER JAPANESE RIFLE CARTRIDGE
IT IS LITERALLY AN AUTOMATIC RIFLE
That gun is an Automatic Rifle and therefore should be labeled as such and given to the proper soldier class. There is nothing “intermediate” about it and it does NOT belong in the hands of an Assaulter who uses Shotguns, SMG’s, and Assault Rifles
Ah ok
Don’t slightly agree. The price of soldiers learning perks is very low right now, 13.5hp soldiers are normal.
If you are a player of BR1-3, it is understandable to use a 10hp soldier, but in BR5 games, if you got 1hit killed by a weapon of 10+dmg per shot, it is your own fault.
And I don’t think there’s a problem with this power design. AS44 uses 7.62x39(or 41) bullets, which are standard intermediate power rifle bullets with a muzzle kinetic energy of around 2.1KJ. Fedorov uses 6.5x50.5SR Arisaka bullets, which are the same full power bullets as Arisaka type 38 rifle, with a kinetic energy of over 2.6KJ. As for. 45ACP mentioned by some, it is a 11.43x23mm pistol bullet. It is indeed a high-power bullet for pistol standard, But it cannot be compared to rifle bullets at all, as its kinetic energy does not exceed 1KJ.The M1 carbine uses 7.62x33mm bullets, which are also a type of carbine bullet, so its damage is also relatively low. Its muzzle kinetic energy is about twice that of. 45ACP, but it cannot match the power of 7.62x39 or 7.92x33kurz.
I bring a sort of +200% Health Restored vibe to the match that BR V sweatlords don’t really like
as it should
6.5x50 arisaka compared to 7.62x33 .30 carbine, also speaking of ammo of soviet assaulter weapons, their ARs are firing 7.62x41 does as much damage as 7.92x33
And another one of these… The real bad part of it all is that the developers take some of these cretins seriously…
They label it an Assault Rifle when Assault Rifles are in INTERMEDIATE cartridges. The Federov uses Japan’s FULL POWER RIFLE cartridge. It’s an Automatic Rifle
Which means it should be reclassified as an Automatic Rifle (being a full power rifle that’s automatic) instead of an Assault Rifle (a rifle with select fire chambered in an intermediate cartridge)
Justice for Semi Auto’s! Justice for M1 Carbine!
Indeed
And Soviet army did not have a concept of automatic rifleman(This concept was only possessed by Americans and was quickly abolished after the war.), and similarly, Fedorov was not actually used much in WWII, so all of this is a fantasy setting in the game.
no…this is wrong, US marine corp still uses automatic riflemen, just that their weapons changed
