Question for everyone

When ever Major announces something in the news channel, I often make a post here asking your guys and gals opinions on it. Like the recent Sicily event.
Do you like the invasion of Sicily event and new squads?

And I was genuinely wondering your thoughts on these posts I make and if you vote on them or not, and if I should continue making them

I like them they help gauge what the community think of events, please continue.

As long as conclusion of polls reaches to devs, its useful.

IF it reaches to devs of course.

otherwise its just another post for players to empty their angers for recent news lol. So kinda useful either way

I highly doubt it, if they did, then we would’ve had better events previously

keep making them

You definately should keep making them, they’re an awsome idea to both gague the reactions of active forum members and drives up engagement. My advice is that you do your best to keep your own opinions separate from the (hopefully) fully professional poll.

Something like:

[Neutral introduction]

[poll]

[personal thoughts]

And, as I suggested before, you really aught to stick to a clear and legible 5 tier poll, with a neutral option in the middle and two pro and against options each with differing degrees of emphasis.

“I like [x]”
“I partially like [x]”
“I am neutral about [x]”
“I partially dislike [x]”
“I dislike [x]”

Even an idiot should be able to understand what they’re voting for, and more importantly, a helper/CM should be able to take it seriously.

I think my polls are professional. But I could be more neutral I guess.

But I do have something in the works as of speaking that hasn’t been done (to my knowledge) on the forums

Any event with goodies is a good event. Clearly there have been better events but any event is better than no event.

Yes, please continue. The chat about the event is inevitably full of people moaning about how it isn’t the exact thing they wanted which makes it look like the community as a whole hated the event/update.

This happens with every event/update so having something simple where people can say ‘I liked it’ or ‘I didn’t’ without needing to wade into the toxicity is only every a good thing.
