Today the devs have introduced something call Alternative squads. Basically tt squads that are for a different sub faction for the main ones. And I want to know if you guys and gals like it and the event in general.

the ppl that are complaining are just stupid and cant be pleased
you can have a event offering 5000 gold and ppl will be complaining no italian bike, apc squad etc
i like the fact that post merge players like me can finally have more squads
My only issue is that we already have an Italian MG squad in the TT. They should’ve gone with some different squad instead, like an assault squad.
Its is a prof of concept for something they havent done yet so in that aspect it is good.
But in the execution they really screwed up by including an italian MG squad when that one is already in the current TT aswell so there is no reason it needed to exist.
I like the secondary rewards in the form of resources, but I don’t like the main rewards in the form of units, this is the most garbage that could be, however… The event is a walk-through and small, from this point of view it will work, but I personally don’t like it.
There are some regulars that would complain about anything and everything. I honestly believe it is either disgruntled employees or people that wanted to dev and can only look on in hatred.

I also don’t like the fact that they have completely removed the opportunity to sell old units, I would gladly sell these “new items” as unnecessary.
I would be more interested in detachments of mortars, flamethrowers, ACP, Moto,Guerrilla

Like the reward? nah not really considering it just a bland squad. The event? i mean at least it easy so 6-7/10 i guess?
I heavily dislike the fact they chose to bring back an italian MG squad when we already have one in the tech tree… sure this gives another option for the italian lineup but the assault would have been much better… hell i’d actually have preferred the italian sniper squad!
I mean really what the hell were they thinking? did they put ANY thought into that?? the whole reason people want legacy squads is to either cycle which fair but we already had 3… and or to have a minor faction nation alternative for certain squads.
Also… i wonder how long it’ll take them to put the long gone SS squads in there… surely if they are added in an event people will go berserk… despite us receiving NKVD secret police troops with overpowered weaponry.

Well devs to add things without logic like the tanks in the last update and now this strange event rewards literally im asking why ??? xD Instead of useful things like SMG squad for Italy we got another LMG squad…
The new Italian MG squad is MG2…so we may even get an MG3 too…plus the Assault and the rest…literally Italian squads for everything.
I only see positives with the new Italian squad (34th Infantry Regiment). It is, by far, the best all-around machine gun squad in the entire game.
There are a few potential drawbacks if you don’t like playing Italians, but that’s hardly an issue since you can equip them with German weapons and Uniforms. And there are also these nation change orders.
The squad has seven soldiers and includes unique build options normally reserved for Premium and Event squads. Standard Engineer squads cannot build heavy machine guns (HMGs), making this a significant advantage.
On top of that, the squad is viable at every Battle Rating (BR) and has access to specialist roles that Event and Premium squads don’t, such as Radio Operators and Snipers.
