PPK-42 (30 magazine)

I could not find information but it seems that the PPK-42 has a 30-bullet magazine.

What to do?

  • New PPK-42 (30 magazine).
  • Change the existing weapon.
  • Nothing.

is it possible that the 30 round magazine is actually just a 25 round mag?

the magazine seems to be the same size as the picture you posted…

after a quick in game comparison, PPD-34 and PPK-42 magazines seem to be about the same length.

Even after a quick search, I found wikipedia and other sites claim that other magazine sizes existed too, but without picture of them, its impossible to implement them.

The player GetOut0fMyWay, says the weapon has a sector magazine for 20\25\30\32 rounds.
I suppose the only way to really know the magazine capacity is to do some research, go see the weapon, look for documents, etc.; but I don’t think anyone has the time/money for that; since this is a video game, the best thing would be to adjust it as the balance requires.

My math teacher always said that you shouldn’t treat an image, illustration, drawing, graph, photograph, etc., as if it were to scale. The magazine may look the same, but we don’t know its dimensions; it could be different.

Because it is literally the 25-round magazine from the PPD-34. It is likely that a higher-capacity 32-round magazine was intended to be used with the submachine gun. This is indicated by the numerical marking stamped on the left side of the trigger housing near the fire selector, specifically in the position it occupies when set to automatic fire (‘32’). However, it seems that the magazine was not completed in time for the trials. By the way, if you are interested, the actual rate of fire for the Kalashnikov submachine gun was 600–650 rounds per minute, which was achieved by the helical bolt.

I was about to say that too, until I inspected the in game models which got me confused just enough to omit that.
Funnily enough, whoever made the model for the PPK-42 did not realise he could just reuse the asset and made an entirely new magazine for the gun.
